Fill this Rifle Gap

Good morning Gents,

I have a problem that only the AH Enablers can solve.

I picked up two barreled actions last night. One is a 6.5x55 built on a Mod 98, and the other is a 8x57 built on a Husquvarna. I need help to come up with ideas for the 8mm. Here’s my current stable:

-6.5x54
-270
-280 Ross
-7x57
-30-06
-308
-300H&H
-8x57
-8x68s
-375H&H
-450/400
-505 Gibbs

Right now I leaning towards 6.5x57 or 68s, maybe 318WR, or even another Ross (280 Rimless). Based on your guys’ tendencies I know the 9.3x62 and 35 Whelen, or even 404 flags will be coming out strong! We all know how much members love spending others members money, so let me hear what INTERESTING cartridge you’d build with my money.
Consider filling the space with inert material and loading the 55 down to become a 6.5 Creedmore!!!

I’ll be leaving the Swede a Swede! I’ve been wanting one for a few years, but the typical Gustafs or Husquvarnas that you see for sale never really did much for me. So now I’ll build my own.

I know you guys are US centric, but damn. With his new addition he already has the quarter bores covered as well with the two 6.5's unless he wants a really fast one. I am inclined to go with the 9.3 as well. It can be made into a significantly lighter rifle than a .375 and is about perfect for bear, hogs, red stag, wild boar and a lot of PG.
A 9.3 is on the list as well!

It is rimmed
That what I thought, and i would say shoehorning a x64 won’t be worth the effort since I have two 375’s?

You NEED a 416 Taylor!
I just got one, and have been smitten without shooting it yet (trying to find components at the moment). I've seen some sites that make me think the components would be easier to find in Canada at least. To console myself while I wait, I just made a deal for a Ruger No.1 in 416 Rem Mag too though.

7x64 Brenneke as mentioned earlier in the list is interesting, but I may be biased since I know where there's a stash of brass cheap-ish.

338-06 close to a 318 WR but easy to find components and ammo. Another would be a 358 Norma
I feel like bringing life back to the 318 is worth the effort to source components

577 Nitro Express…don’t worry about filling a gap.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
