These guns are all steel only the grips are plastic. The 45acp CZ 97 are milled aluminum on the grips leaving a entire metal gun

I shoot a CZ75B it's a little to big for carry as is my S&W 1911, I have a few Commie Blocs in 7.62x25 so I know how sturdy but basic they are. I carry a XDS in 45ACP which is made in Croatia and marketed by Springfield Arms. I also have a Colt Trooper in 375 and a S&W Mod 29

You must be referring to the cz52. Great gun I have 2 of them. One a shooter and the other a show peice.

I just picked up this CZ Tactical Sport, not a carry by any means but what an excellent gun, the trigger is as good as the old CZ Shadow

And I know where my dam finger is, I had just picked it up from ups and was checking it out and I don't have a better pic.

It's a fine pic. Beautiful pistol. I think CZs are the new sigs from 20 years ago.
So to speak

I am a Sig sauer armor growing up in my dad's gun shop working on Sigs and glocks Remington 870s and colt AR's for the police departments. The new sigs being produced in Exiter New Hampshire are a shadow of the former pistols that were originally imported from Germany. Typical of what happens alot when company's get americanized, the price goes up and quality goes down. I will post later and show some differences between the different generations of Sig pistols.

hi i have a sig 1911 c3 and also a 1911 carry scorpion i really like them. just wondering whats your opinion of the sig 1911 range if you think sig quality isnt great with usa made stuff?

OK in the morning I'll break out some pictures and show the difference between the different generations and waves of SIG's that are floating around in America

the 1911 has 2 safety's, the Springfield XD 2, the glock 1. I would carry the first 2 not the glock. In a real world situation where stress is a factor the glock is the most dangerous.

my $ 0.02

That's not exactly correct..

A glock has 3 safeties... 2 are internal, 1 is external..

It has a drop safety, a firing pin safety, and the trigger safety... each safety is passive and operates independently of the others..

In a nutshell, the likelihood of a glock firing without the very intentional action of pulling the trigger to the rear by the user.. is close to non existent..

There is a reason it is still the firearm of choice after almost 40 years of service for numerous major metropolitan law enforcement agencies all over the globe (many of which only deliver minimal firearms training to its officers) as well as numerous military special operations units both in the US and abroad.. and everyone else in between...

it sees real world situations where stress is a factor every single day... and its proven to be both reliable and safe... in the hands of young, inexperienced 21 year olds, as well as highly experienced and capable users, all around the world..

Spike,
I carry a C3 quite a bit, and love the gun. The Sig 1911 line seem to be excellent pistols. I've owned a couple of the 220's, while they were very well built and accurate pistols there was always something about the way they felt in my hand that I didn't like. I guess there is nothing that will compare to the feeling of a 1911 in your mitts. All of the 1911's from Sig that I have had the opportunity to work with have been of very good quality and are a great value.
Cheers,
Cody

yeah really like my 2 sig 1911s and also like my browning hi-power . as you say the other different sigs didnt feel right to me either. :D Beers:

I always carry an HK. I've carried an HK45, a .357 Sig, and now I carry an HK P30L in 9mm. It shoots extremely well and HK is the most reliable brand I've ever owned and I've owned most of the most popular brands.
I use a Kramer inside the waistband holster at the 4 o'clock position.
Always concealed. Never open carry. Why tip your hand?
The type and caliber gun are not as important as simply having one on you when you need it and getting enough practice that you have confidence in your gun and in your ability to hit with it.

I'm usually with one of these three - the little NAA mini is great to put under a t-shirt when I'm out on my bike and will handle most problems I'm going to encounter. Usually though, I carry either the .38 or .44 snubbie.

So what I was talking about in the earlier post is the quality vs price comparison. The 1st wave of sigs that came into America in 77 were licensed brownings, that being said the 2 wave of them marked made in West Germany the 3rd wave and most prevalent being post 1990 till about 2012 were combination German made slides or frames sometimes both. Then after about 2012 under Ron Cohen's leadership production moved to NH full time. Many people have criticized Mr Cohen's vision for the company, to his credit he was the one who brought the AR platform to Sig. But the decision to incorporate more trendy options for the line vs maintained quality I personally believe was the problem. ie pink guns diamond plate finish carbon fiber finish. Also if you Google search you will see forum after forum of people who have had problems with there NH made sigs

So hears a early west German Sig police surplus. It's called something else but American shooters will know this as the 225. Notice the crome breech block
