Bob Nelson I sold my .243!

@HankBuck
A fast 25 loaded with a 115,117 or 120gn at 3,300 fps will do everything at 270 will do with a 130gn at 3,100fps
Loaded with a 120gn A Frame or a 115gn TSX at 3,300fps it will still equal the 270 loaded with a 130gr mono.
I have seen your football and it has specialised players that if you take them out of their special area they are hopeless. Top that off with the fact you need 2 specialised teams aside (offensive and defensive) to play a game. Then you need 3 hours to play a one hour game with all the flapping around.
In Australia we like to keep it simple. Most players can play different positions if needed, we only need two teams to play the entire game and the game has 2 40 minute halves, so an 80 minute game. We have had American players and they can't handle the pace and don't see how we can take such a pounding without all the padding.

My national rugby team ("los pumas")sends regards to the wallabies!!!
Great game, the rugby!... Very exciting the world championship and the performance of my team...

You're aware that your trying to go from short action to long action in doing this? Not all things are Sako...
You're not your.... :ROFLMAO: :A Tease:

But I hear you. If I had a .243 the only thing I would change is the calibre, stock, scope, barrel and my location. Other than that the .243 is a fine catapult for lizards (small ones with the right ammo).

Bob, your .25 caliber vs .270 comparison is a lot closer then your ‘futball’ vs American “real” football. I respect that soccer ‘futball’ players play both offense AND defense but that’s easy because there’s really NO difference since neither EVER Scores!! Unless you were referring to “Rugby”? It’s hard to tell because one game is boring but easy to understand - the Other Less boring but impossible to understand. American football is simple - great athletes that care about nothing but themselves, being on TV, making millions$$ and staying out of prison. When Taylor Swift dates a Soccer or Rugby player - then I will try to learn about the game....but I see her dating a .25-06 before that happens !

Autocorrupt is really affecting my communication nowadays. You're correct in correcting me... :E Lol:

I was talking of rugby league.
Commonly described as one man pushing 2 men up three men's arses in an organised brawl.

@Forrest Halley
You are correct in the fact that we are trying to corrupt you.
Corruption has nothing to do with copulation even tho you can be screwed by both.
If you figure that out let me know.

Sako?

Current Tikka T3/x models have only one action length dictated by the action body. The bolt stops vary to alter the length to suit the cartridge size. They can be modified or changed.

Sako used to produce 5 action lengths and now I think it is 3.

Since this thread is about Bob there are 2 obvious choices to go with that suit a .243 bolt face and action length that will meet his approval.

The .257Bob and the .358winchester. Maybe throw in the 6.5cm for a stir.

I'm slowly working toward a .260rem build just to be different.

And maybe throw in Bob's .25 Samurai and 6.5RSE (Rising Sun Express) wildcats for a "shake and not a stir"? LOL

@CBH Australia
Chris the 257 Roberts really needs a standard lenght action to get the best out of it.
The 250 Savage is a great round.
The 260 never took off for som silly reason it's a good short action 6.5x55.

Bob, thanks for the clarification, the only game I know less about then Ruby is “Cricket” but that’s not really my fault - both games get less TV time in the U.S. then Chess. I will admit that Rugby players look very tough, strong, and have stamina - they also don’t seem to “whine & cry” like so many pro athletes in the U.S. and I’m gonna guess they don’t get arrested as often. What does a top professional Rugby player get paid - in U.S. dollars (not those pounds, stones, trinkets, rubble etc..)? I bet some of them could play defensive back or tight end in the NFL.

They d
Get paid a pittance compared to your players your 1st year rookies probably get paid more. A top player in Australia would be lucky to get 2 million aud a year. About 1.6 mill us if they are lucky.
I could be wrong tho.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
