Any Other Interests???

Yes my car passion is very serious also. I have a white M2 that is strictly for the track. Not even registered.
"Alpine White" .. beautiful BMW. M2 discontinued.

Thanks to the current administration, that's about what they are worth... I did see a few of these in circulation in Africa on my last trip.
It's really no joke, bud glad you caught lightheartedness ;

Other than the usual things hunters do ( camping, 4x4, fishing, canoeing, general outdoor stuff ) I do a bit of woodwork, make furniture and clocks, leatherwork, stockmaking and knives and axes.
I also race vintage enduro bikes, I have about thirty of them, Japanese and European. I like old stuff, old bikes, old trucks, I am currently rebuilding my '81 two door Range Rover.

The hobby which sucks the funds worse then hunting for me is cars. This 65 has been getting a new interior for a little while now but I haven’t had the time to push forward. New glass and re chromed vent windows were also in the works until life caught up with me.

My interests revolve more about things I like to do rather than material things I own.

I have been an avid Argentine Tango dancer for decades and attend Tango Festivals and Marathons worldwide (last one a couple of months ago in Cyprus (the island nation)).

I also enjoy attending various events all dressed up.

Of course, horse races. Four generations shown.

Finished another chunk off that mesquite log. This was the end piece on the left.

a little over 17" tall, 9" wide and 7" deep at the base. Leans back a few degrees. Does weigh a few pounds as mesquite is a fairly dense hardwood. Deep relief with a touch of pyrography. Really like how oil brings out the grain....

Might have to do another desk/shelf piece. Need to go slice up another log....

Found another mesquite log asking to be carved. About 22" long x 9" tall and about an inch thick.
This is more to my roots; the brand on the bull is my Uncle's and the brand on the chinks was my Grandpa's. Those chinks still hang here at the house, I wore them for many years after he was killed. My uncle is still raising longhorns here in Colorado at 86 years young.

Another piece of mesquite on the bench, waiting for me to find some time to carve. This darker mesquite should work well with the subject. A deep relief should allow the eye to have the proper effect. That's the plan anyway; hope the wood sees the same vision...

Another desk or shelf piece about 20" tall x 12" wide. The box keeps it stable while working on it.

Finished the carving part. Should have the small brass plate with the quote engraved in a week or so to mount on the side branch.

American whiskey and cigars are where my non gun money go. My father and I were buying various vintages of Pappy before the craze hit. Drank most of it but still have a few left bottles for emergency money. Always have a toast of Pappy on the anniversary of his death. A few years of BT antique collection gathering dust as well. Was into diesel truck drag racing and performance but a small income in college and grad school limited some of that. Still drive a properly modified Cummins daily. BMW gladly takes my money now. Always wanted a large sedan so we traded the wife’s diesel Rover for a newish 7 series. Love that car.
