Animal you wouldn't hunt

Anybody ever hunt a fenced area from a helicopter and willing to admit it???

:A Stirring::A Stirring::A Stirring:

We have been trying to have helicopter assisted hunting banned here for years .
There is a place for it with the commercial guys to keep the wild deer numbers down .
But not recreational people who pay a small fortune to fly up the mountain chase the shit out of an animal till its stuffed .
Land next to it shoot the bloody thing then fly off the mountain with it .
Yes this should be illegal here but its not !!
The operators pay a lot of money to the authorities to do it , so it wont stop !!!
Sound familiar money rules over ethics .
Cheers Dory .

Honestly though, I'm ok with helicopters and fences.

The only thing I really have a problem with are those scoundrels who fish with nets instead of just using a hook. Now those guys are bad.... Just plain cheating.... :A Tease:

PS .
Yes I have shot a lot of deer from a helicopter .
But it was work not play .
But it is good fun for a while .
But like anything it just turns into another job that is bloody hard work .
A young mans game .
I still use a helicopter once or twice a year to access the back country , it saves days of walking .
In fact i couldnt get to some places without them , old age is a prick !!
NZ is unfenced and free to hunt .
No tags no charges .
But valleys like the one bellow need a heli for access .
I spend up to 3 weeks at a time in this valley ,walking in is not an option .
I know we are way off the subject but just a we insight of my back yard .
Cheers Dory

Took out 150 imature stags and older hinds from a game farm as the shooter from a helicopter .
All animals were sold for meat ,the farm was over stocked .
Just a job ,not hunting but shooting .

Well you are taking all of the fun out of my pot stirring with a straight forward non-defensive answer like that! ;)

really would like to see your neck of the woods someday. Helicopter with you and the boat with bluey would be one check of a combined trip!!!

I think Bluey would agree , your welcome anytime .
Did you know that the island I live on is covered in white tail deer ?
Shoot as many as you want anytime of the year .
And yip its free .

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
