9.3x62 cape buffalo

You know what you need now, Toby ? A leopard-over-bait hunt, in order to go with it !
Yes this would be cool, I shot one of my Leopards with a 9.3x63, one shot DRT.

I think you will also need to mount you scope way forward & have some sort of recoil mitigation with that little girl !

One of the guys in our Big Bore club had a Tikka lite in 9.3x62 & it cut most of the guys in the club who fired it in haste !

I bought one Tikka Lite & it had only fired half a box or less from new, box of shells came with it, owner said too much boot !

I thought Pussy as my other 9.3x62 in light weight Mauser was no problem, well it booted alright & I shoot lots of light weight big bores, so tucked it into a laminate stock & fitted a suppressor, I use very heavy hand loads which doesn’t help but it is nice now.

@Sarg

Utterly magnificent rifle & leopard hide. For some reason, Tikka rifles are immensely popular in Australia since the last two decades. Previously, it was BSA and Parker Hale rifles when I first hunted in the Land Down Under during the 1970s.

Doctari culled approx six hundred with his 9.3x62

I'm going to Join Toby in the new 9.3 club and in Toby fashion. I finally picked up a Sako Grizzly/arctos in 9.3x62. The wait has been long but I'm glad I have it now. I'm curious what the performance difference will be between this (21" barrel) and my ruger african (24")?

You’ll be hearing from my team of attorneys about the use of my trademark kitchen counter advertising. But maybe since you’re not selling it, we can settle out of court. :ROFLMAO:

But that is definitely a nice looking rifle!

:ROFLMAO: after my recent purchases, I can offer a half chewed pack of bubble gum and a Pepsi.

Thanks, Toby.

I just got my Zastava 9.3x62 back from the gunsmith last week, it wouldn't feed round nose bullets and needed to be free floated and beded. I mounted a Maven 3x12 on it and we are headed to the range on Saturday to see how it shoots.

I have had a couple of them thru my hands - over the years indeed just shipped one to a customer last week !

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
