    Courteney boots fit in width

Buy through ASC. If it's your first pair, you'll inevitably want to try a few different sizes for comparison. It took me a couple tries to get it right, but ASC was super easy to work with on the shipping and return process. Buy some shooting sticks too if you don't already own them. They'll...

    Scope suggestions

I've been using a Vortex PST Gen 2 1-6 with illuminated dot reticle on my Model 70 375 for 2 years now. While this rifle-scope combo has over 200 rounds through it during training without issue, it's not been to Africa yet due to Covid. I have 3 previous PG trips with Vortex Razor HD LH scopes...

    Travel News - Coronavirus Advisory

Delta just cancelled my 11 June flight to JNB (via ATL). They refunded the cost 100% and didn't offer an option to re-book. Didn't sound good according to the gal at the Diamond desk I was working with on this.

    Christian arms 6.5 creedmore

The Bergara's are fantastic rifles as is the 6.5 CM. Twice I've taken a 6.5 CM to Africa. Took everything up to and including kudu, wildebeest, gemsbok without an issue. The light recoil allows you to place shots very accurately and practice without recoil issues prior to the hunt.

    9mm semi auto carbine

You want a quality optic that gives you precision and speed at all reasonable ranges. That’s not a laser. A good non-magnified optic is incredibly fast and precise from contact to 200+ yards. Train and learn your close range offset also.

    9mm semi auto carbine

Listen to mdwest, that’s the no BS answer. If a pistol cal carbine or shotgun is what you have then by all means run it, but given a choice, a modern high-quality 556 in an AR or X95 Tavor (new IWI bullpup that’s fantastic) pattern WITH modern expanding duty ammo is without equal for serious...

    Ruger Hawkeye African 6.5x55

I own both the 275 Rigby version and the 6.5x55. They’re great rifles in a very traditional sense. Fit and finish are very good, though the action is a little rough cycling, but quite reasonable for the cost. Triggers are good. Mine shoot right at 1 MOA. They’re not modern super rifles...

Why you never ship a scope to a buddy outside the USA

It all falls under ITAR regulation. Optics, magazines, sights, tactical lights, night vision etc even some types of training. Nothing to fool with. When in doubt check with the manufacturer before shipping anything like this internationally.

That seems very fair priced. Great scopes. The lack of obj bell on that scope gives you a lot of eye relief room to play with around the rear sight.

Scope opinions for a Ruger No.1 International?

I have 3 No 1s and find the Leupold 1.5-5 is the scope for that rifle when you consider the eye relief/mount positions inherent with the No 1. I run mine in low Leupold matte rings. No issues with loading or ejection.

    Sako issues

I had the same issue with a synthetic stock Sako in 270 Win. Tried numerous calls to the factory/new magazines but never found a 100% solution. After resorting to duct tape to secure the mag on a mule deer hunt, I finally gave up and traded to a large Beretta dealer. Told him about the issue...

    Scope mounting on 375 H&H

I've had very good results with Leupold rings-bases over the years and have no doubt they'll work well. Mine are their latest rings listed as QRW2. I find the most critical part of the process is use of a quality torque wrench.

    Broadheads for Low Poundage

1" Slick Tricks. I shoot a 60lb bow with 26.5" draw and these have been the most accurate and deadly broadheads ever for me all the way up to bull elk. They shoot to the same point of aim/impact as my field points and have low cost, easy to replace blades. I don't see any room for improvement.

Murray makes great stuff and they’re the only company I’ve found that makes a standard and short height pouch. Their short is perfect for 308/275/6.5. Loop width is the same but the shorter height keeps the cartridges in place better than the taller standard which is sized for 30-06/270 etc...
