    QD issues holding a zero

It’s been over 20 years since I have used Leupold QD rings. But the set I had were garbage back then. I’d get some Talleys for probably about the same price if it was my rifle.

    500 NE Merkel

I had a 500 Merkel for a few years. Mine regulated well in the mid 90 grains of reloader 15 with a 570 woody. Reason I am not giving you the exact charge as my reloader 15 lot is likely not a similar burn speed to your reloader 15.

    Case trimmer that doesn’t suck?

For large Bore and Nitro's I use the Forster. Girard is awesome and I use it on a few calibers. Not quick to change calibers and mine pretty much stays set up for 223 or 50 BMG. My Wilson gets used a lot for calibers I don't shoot often. Henderson for me gets the most use. Pretty quick to...

A Heym’s Maiden Voyage to Africa

That left one looks like a 420 to me Will. But will be interested to hear weight when you get back. Have not seen one personally like that. I’m sure Michael has. I’ve been shooting Raptors & Safari Soilds on African game since 2013. Always have impressed me. Can’t say a bad thing about a...

Best double rifle for the money $$

Do not underestimate how it fits you. A great deal on a rifle that you can’t shoot well because of poor fit is a terrible deal no matter how affordable it is.

    Shot Placement on Whitetail

This I 100% agree. Even with a double lung I have had many whitetail run 100 yards into nasty woods full of vines and thorns. I now do headshots if within 100 yards, and your shot if further. I’m blessed however to be able to shoot 5-15 whitetail a year so have had a lot of practice.

    KUIU Pro Brush Pant

I did my 11th trip to Africa this summer. Took my two kids and wife, all of us had the Kuiu Brush Pants on the trip for the first time. Best thorn pant any of us have ever worn. Very comfortable and did a fantastic job.

    Best bino strap

I was looking at the Els & Co site yesterday. Looks like great stuff. Why is their stuff priced roughly 80% higher in USD compared to their pricing in Rand? Has anyone checked out in Rand with thier credit card?

Proper Use of a Monday Afternoon—-Doubles and Whiskey of Course

Thank you, however the rack in the OP's post is mine. However, I am excited to look over your guns this year in Nashville. For some reason I have never stopped in your booth in the past years since Rigby started back up in London.

    Thoughts on a 7X57 Rimmed

I would just pick up some good quality 7x57 dies and an R shell holder. Dies are the same and forgo the CH4D. They are of last resort for us.

    Heym versus Rigby

Ya, if i recall right he left last summer-fall. He was in the middle of a 300 H&H take-down bolt rifle for us that he took with him to finish. He's a fantastic craftsman and has built me and my wife a couple rifles previously.

Proper Use of a Monday Afternoon—-Doubles and Whiskey of Course

I think I got it in Reno roughly 20 years ago from Lewis Drake. Would need to see if there is any branding on it. I've seen some elsewhere recently but don't rememember who had them but they were north of $1000. And no they are not worth that IMO.

Proper Use of a Monday Afternoon—-Doubles and Whiskey of Course

It was a pleasure having you out to our little corner of Utah. Looking back we should have taken at least a few more doubles out at a minimum to shoot. Glad we could fit this into both our schedules! You have an amazingly accurate double, can’t wait to see pictures with it sitting beside some...
