A 500 grain Raptor at 2150 will for sure be good for buffalo. That’s what a 470 does. I’m loaded with 420 raptors at 2220 in my 450 for buffalo this summer.

I would seat some deeper to see if it feeds. I personally have never loaded to any book OAL. I load my length to what shoots good and functions well.

Me and the wife have shot right around 80 plainsgame with a 168 TSX at 3160. Works great, trying to think if anything has needed and additional shot.

Claws are my favorite, then Smithson’s, swings next and then Talley. And Talley’s are great for the low cost.

Are they still in production? How thick is it? Some Tudors are just too thick for me.

I take cash for tips, checkbook in case. Half my outfitters didn’t even have the bill ready at the end of the hunt. They just email the final tab a week or two later and I wire them.

It’s getting a new crystal and ceramic insert. Accidentally did a quick weld job and forgot to take it off. Hope the parts come in before my hunt this summer or I’m picking it up and taking it back for repairs after my hunt.

It's a novelty to me. Doubt I would ever hunt with it, just not practical for me. I don't to want to carry it and I rarely hunt with a bolt rifle anyway for the last decade or so. It's just something fun to occasionlly pull out and let people shoot.
