COVID-19 Coronavirus UPDATES, BANS, CLOSURES, ADVISORY, etc.

I stopped by Ace Hardware to pick something up. Big sign on the front door.....

"We are out of face masks"

The media ghouls are employing the usual fear mongering tactics.

Democrats figuring out ways to blame Trump.

Same shit, different day, in loony land.

Trump is destined to learn an old lesson, updated for today's technology. "Never pick a fight with a man who buys ink by the barrel and paper by the ton". The MSM is getting in their digs with today's coronavirus scare.

Considering we've been through SARS, Bird Flu (actually had that one), Swine flu, etc. I think we'll be fine as long as we do basic stuff like washing hands after being outside, especially before eating.

I had a site visit at a large commercial bakery this morning, front door had a sign posted that due to the coronavirus, only pre-approved visitors would be allowed onsite. Not sure what good that was going to do, when I called my plant contact, he routed me to the back of the facility to meet him. It'll be interesting to see how many hoops to jump through to gain access to my clients from here on out.

Exactly, and that is all this virus coverage is today.

Anyone remember the polio epidemic of the 1950's before the Salk vaccine? 58,000 reported cases in the US in 1952. 3,100 deaths and 21,000 paralysed. I was young then but I don't remember the level of panic we're seeing now. Of course we weren't bombarded with 24/7 "news" then.

As to Wall Street, it is such a rigged system and all the big guys are all in it together. When they drive their profits too high, they have a massive selloff . When they think it's gone low enough, they start the mass buying and double their profits.

Meanwhile, the public is 10 steps behind and make terrible decisions out of fear. The best we can do is stay the course and don't try to out smart the ones who are in charge.

Well it seems there's a case of this in my hometown. Or, rather, a potential one. Don't think the results are back yet. I'm sure the panicking will happen soon.

It is here. I was in Costco today and there was a sign limiting buyers to 2 cases of water. Walmart's paper goods aisle was nearly bare and people were shoveling all sorts of stuff into their baskets. The troubling thing is you can't stock up on produce and fresh items, much of which is imported. Gonna get interesting, folks.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
