AH legend
Yea I read the Revenant and liked it. The movie even took liberties with the book IIRC. Of course modern day Hollywood had to make up a mixed race son and associated drama@Cooposo - I was disappointed in “The Revenant”, too many obvious Computer-Generated-Images AND they fabricated the “true” parts of the story…the entire event really took place during the Summer months but I guess surviving a Grizzly attack wasn’t exciting enough for Hollywood - so they added Winter/Snow. They also Cut-the-barrel-length on the rifles used because the Director didn’t like the Look of the long barrels that were used actually during that time period. Lastly, all those scenes where they crossed rivers in below zero temps and got soaking wet, —- no Mountain Men or backwoods Men opted to cross a river in Below zero temps —- they knew they’d die. I think the movie “Jeremiah Johnson” with Robert Redford was a more accurate depiction of 1800s Mountain Men (except for all the Indian fight/killing scenes)….Just my opinion
