try getting 2700 fps out of a 9.3x62 with a 270 gr bullet or 2500 fps with a 300 gr bullet. i own and reload for both of them and have shot a buffalo cow with a 9.3x62. there is a reason your need at least a 375 H&H for dangerous game in most countries in africa.

my 760 and 7600 rems in 3006 will shoot 1-1.25" three shot groups at 100 yards from a rest. my load it 56 grs imr 4350 with a 165 gr nosler BT, thats not a heavy load but will knock the snot out of any deer you shoot.

i say get a .375 H&H and be done with it. on six hunting trips hunting in three african countries. i shot over 60 animals with 95 precent being shot with the .375 with no losses. i liked the .375 H&H so much as soon as i came home after my first hunt i bought a new CZ-550 in .375 H&H.

depends on what caliber your shooting, if a rock thrower and at longer ranges it would help if you take the time and effort to get the right dope for the bullets and speed you will be shooting. some of the cast bullets i shoot in my sharps 74 clone drop close to 40 "at 300 yards.

to say i like and use leupold scops would be a understatement., some not on rifles right now, i think i own 30 or 31 total. i have had a few that i had problem with over 50 years of useing them and leupold took care of them with repair or replaceing at no cost to me.

send it back, they will take care of it. most likely replace it.

in my CZ 550 i run a 140gr sierra gameking bullet at 2850 with N-560, i have gone heavier but the 2850 fps is a moa load at 100 yards. top rifle is a 375 H&H CZ-550, the bottom is my 6.5x55 CZ-550.

a rem 760-7600 pump rifles has after market magizines that hold at least 10 rounds, and are faster than a lever action for aimed multable shots.

my sweeds are a cz-550, a rem 700 and several 96-38 swedish army rifles in original condition. n-560 is also my powder for a rem 700 in .260.
