Your favorite 2 rifle and 1 shot gun combination

Yup, Savage model 24. I own 3 in .22/410, .22/20 and .357/20. The model 24 is not made anymore but there are always plenty of them on Gunbroker but the prices have been going up.

Savage currently makes a plastic combo thing called the model 42 in.22/410 and .22 mag/410 iirc. I handled one and was not in the least impressed with it. Other folks will probably be perfectly happy with it.

Chiappa makes the Double Badger with a rimfire barrel over .410 but I have no experience with them.

Guilty on all counts.
Well at least you're honest about it!

That 8.5 is especially niche. It merited a Google anyway.

I guess it's somewhere between a 35Whelen and a 338 Win Mag in performance? I can't help but think that a bog standard 30-06 with a heavy bullet does exactly the same thing with none of the hassle though!

Well a 30-06 (which I use in the 8x64S version ) would kill anything a 8.5x63 does...

In fact one rifle in >=7mm would be sufficient for everything, but DG.
But life would be boring without some toys

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
