Your 3 favorite hunting cartridges of all time

For DG:

500 Jeff
404 Jeff
375 H&H
9.3x74R/12ga for leopard follow up

For PG:

9.3x74R or 9.3x62mm
7x65R or 7x64mm Brenneke
7x57R or 7x57mm

And always a 12ga, good old 28" Brno sxs sidelock 1/2 and 3/4 choke and a 22lr are always needed...

No serious hunter can do it all with 3.....

.243 Win. great for everything from gophers to deer
.270 Win. flat shooter, hits hard
.30-06 Sprg. how could i not have it
@Longdrive.
My experience with others using a 243 is useless for anything bigger than an enraged field mouse. Seen to much wounded game with it by good shots. The latest being a mate shot a fallow buck with a good behind the shoulder shotand it died. The other buck with it recieved the same shot with the same bullet (100gn rem core lockt factory loads) deer went down but got up and ran off never to be seen again despite searching. He now owns a 25-06.

The 375 WBy thread got me thinking of my favorite hunting cartridges off all time.

Here are mine:

22 LR
9.3x62 (followed close my a 375 wby--less bark with the 9.3)
450/400 3" (really it was the gun it was in--but was a sweet shooting as they come)

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
