Almost the New Year. Have fun at the upcoming conventions, if you plan to attend.

My scheduled hunt plans for 2025 so far - Alaska Dall Sheep, Brooks Range, guided, rifle,10 day backpack hunt, August 2025. (2nd attempt for a Dall Sheep). Previous hunt was in August 2020.

Can't wait. Training continues. 237 days, 11 hours, and 49 minutes out...but who is counting.

What are your plans? Best of luck with your upcoming scheduling and planning for 2025, TheGrayRider a/k/a Tom.

I plan on putting in for Coues deer and elk in AZ, and if drawn I will go. I will put in for KY elk for the 8th year in a row, most likely not get drawn.

No draw tags, I may try to go hunt in Europe somewhere, but otherwise just Kentucky OTC hunts that I do every year.

Well, I had hoped to make it back to Africa; that fell through.

I have tags for winter moose and caribou; those would likely happen between January and March. The moose season opener has not been set; caribou is open but will wait for good travel (snowmachine) conditions.

I need to put in for draw tags this weekend.

Possible spring bear in May
Fall moose in September
Other????

I’ll be in Atlanta Jan 9-11 for the DSC convention. I’ll probably hunt white tails on our lease sometime in January. Then down to Port Mansfield TX Jan 23-26 for the last 4 days of duck season. I’m booked for leopard in Namibia April 19-May 03. I’m glad I am retiring on Dec 31 so I can fit all of this in!

Arizona mountain lion in January. Leopard hunt with Nick Nolte in early July and cape buffalo with @ndumo HUNTING SAFARIS in late July.

Sheep Show in Reno in Jan. where I plan to win a desert hunt! lol.
AH group bird hunt at Rockin' G. and pigs in TX. and OK after that in Feb.
Alaska brown bear in May.
Oryx hunt, possibly 2, if I decide to include Scimitar horned later in the year, probably November.
Usual suspects of elk, deer and antelope here in Wyo. if I get motivated!

Im still working on mine but so far the below. Most with my son thankfully.

April - Namibia PG Hunt
June - Black bear hunt in Idaho
July - Offshore fishing in Florida
July - FTW Ranch for some training / Also, pistol training in Arizona
September - Teal hunt in TX
October - Dove hunt in TX
November - FTW Ranch for some hunting

In October our family is heading to Mozambique to the Coutada 9 with Mokore Safaris.

My priority list for the hunt:

1) Nyala - definitely my number 1 for this trip
2) Kudu - I missed a nice one in Zim last year
3) Warthog - they are huuuge in Moz!
4) Impala - probably one of my favorites
5) Duiker/Grysbok - my daughter wants one of the tiny ten in her room
6) 2nd Impala - did I mention I like these guys?!

* Waterbuck if a nice one walks out I might swap for the Kudu

In addition, my In-laws are going for Buffalo, Sable, Bushbuck, Reedbuck, Oribi and other PG.

Should be an awesome hunt!!!

I’ll be in Namibia in August for non-exportable elephant and trophy buffalo. I’m sure I will find a PG animal or 2 that I won’t be able to live without. I’ve put in for a Mt. Goat tag in Alaska. Historically it’s about a 25-30% draw odds and this will be my 5th time applying so hopefully it will be my year. If I don’t draw the goat tag I am going to put in for Iowa whitetail. I should draw that one without issue, I have 7 points.

I am also on call for a mt. lion hunt in Utah anytime after January 1st.

maybe late season cow elk in January
Coyotes and Cottontails until Mid- February,
Eastern Cape plains game in April
Eastern MT Merriam's turkey late April
a few prairie dogs and gophers in the summer
Eastern MT pronghorn in October
some kind of deer in November

who with if I may ask
Nhoro Safaris in April, non-trophy bull, then in September I am doing 10 days with Dalton & York, cape buffalo and tuskless, I think that is in the Omay area where I took my first safari way back in 1988 at the age of 26.

- Jun, South Africa for Buffalo, and some PG.
- Nov, South Dakota for deer, pheasant and some walleye fishing on the Missouri River.
- Oct-Jan hunt for deer & duck locally

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
