I know plus a Grouse and fish I believe!!!And you need that for your tie!
The fish is probably the hardest of the lot, a 5kg tiger is not common. But we will sort that out on your next trip to Zimbabwe! In the meantime get the Scottish Highland stag, and the bird can be partridge, pheasant or grouse. And a dram or two and some haggis.I know plus a Grouse and fish I believe!!!
Don’t laugh probably cheating…can I take the pheasant on a hunt in the US?The fish is probably the hardest of the lot, a 5kg tiger is not common. The bird must be taken in the UK, not strictly Scotland, anywhere in the UK. Why not take ir at the same time that you come for your stag? We can assist, I'll tell you more on the Carruthers thread.Don’t laugh probably cheating…can I take the pheasant on a hunt in the US?
A true McNab is a salmon, grouse and stag in the same dayThe bird must be taken in the UK, not strictly Scotland, anywhere in the UK. Why not take ir at the same time that you come for your stag? We can assist, I'll tell you more on the Carruthers thread.
I have to ask question: how do you manage available spare time to get two times or more to Africa in a year!?
Well, I might after my kids graduate at college.Stop caring about work. I'm halfway serious about that.
Although not strictly 2025 I am off to Scotland on the 20th December and whilst there will try for a sika, roe deer and a pheasant shoot.
In April/May my son in law comes out from Scotland to Zim and we will be after a buffalo and a tiger fish for him. If I see a scrum cap I will take him.
In June/July Eastern Cape for fallow deer and mountain reedbuck with my other son in law.
In October we all participate in the Kariba tiger fish tournament.
Hi UK Hunter, no this is not a McNab. It is just a challenge for our Carruthers members to achieve. Carruthers & Co is a small hunting and fishing club of life-loving adventurers and we dream up challenges from time to time. The Golden Tie challenge requires our group to hunt some specific quarry in Africa and Scotland. A bit of fun. Spice has no value in a bottle.A true McNab is a salmon, grouse and stag in the same day
As soon as I have the plans cemented I will let you know Para45. It would be great to meet up. KevinWhen in Jun will you be in the Eastern Cape? I'll be there in the middle of Jun. Hopefully we bump into each other, love to meet you.
