Hi Guys been offered one - and wondering what it is worth - valuing it for an estate - (Widow)

Anyhow your thoughts would be appreciated

Stephen

Pics would be nice.

Along with a detailed description on any character marks/ flaws found. i.e. Nick's, dings, dents, cracks, splits, rust, pits, bare metal/ bluing tight or loose action, etc.

Nice looking rifle.
Does appear to have a few minor scuff marks that could be used to ask for a little off the asking price. Same for the barrel sling mount not being a band. A bit of nit picking.

Some details of the scope would help. Might be, or have been, a good scope. Could add a bit of value, or no added value.

If you are going to buy it for your own use and are good friends with the widow check the Blue Book of Guns and negotiate a fair deal. Otherwise if you were going to resale it, 40%-50% Blue Book Value would be fair, for a reasonable profit margin.

That is a nice one and looks all original. I have seen them on Guns International with asking prices between $6500-$10500. Check that site and others for comparables and asking prices.

Buy it, take it to Africa, kill a bunch of dangerous game with it.

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
