Why The 30-06 Has Been rendered OBSOLETE

Black Powder????? I thought it was Cordite like the obsolete 375 H&H!

That is meaningless. The 300 RUM beats the 300 Weatherby. Big Deal. I will have my 300 Weatherby till the day I die. I will never have a 300 RUM as I just don't want one. My Model 70 30.06 will never leave my arsenal nor will my CZ 550 9.3x62 or Winchester Model 70 Safari Grade 375 Ruger. I've got the world of hunting covered with these 3.

hey bart think you hooked another one :fishing::barmy::D p.s. why no .416 in there ;)

Never needed that level of power. The way I shoot the 9.3 & 375 does it all.

Spike, I have a mate that uses a 416 Taylor on Sambar Deer. It's really mild to shoot & very effective. I started designing one to build but I changed my mind coz the 375 is so good. I frooled around witrh a few 375s including the 378 Weatherby with out a brake. The 378 is not as bad as some make out. I think some folk just repeat what they hear.
My favorite is the 375 Dakota because the case is perfect. My current rifle is the Winchester Model 70 Safari Express 375 Ruger. This works out well with the long magazine I can load almost any 375 projectile without stealing powder space. I was going to go 26'' but went with 24". With RL17 I get an honest & easy 2900 fps with the 270gr North Fork.
This is a real sweet rifle.

I just took inventory and have managed to come up with eight of the danmed things. I am truly ashamed of myself!

Not even that there like fat chicks you dont want anyone to see you with one!

8? Bloody hell Bart, you really need to stand in the corner for a while. Some fat chicks are fun, sometimes. But they need to know when it's time to go home.. Don't call me, I'll call you.

OK out of the corner. Anyone know what to do with 8, 30-06's?

Start a military drill team. ;)

You could always send one of them to a needy hunter....I know a poor preacher who might take one off your hands....just sayin'

????Bart???? That's a damn good idea. Armed religion, it's how we won our independence.....

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
