II have a few Rugers 2x375HH, 416R, 450R, 458Lott, 458WM plus a few smaller calibers. I think Ruger builds a solid rife. But they all need a little work, mostly polishing of the action feed rails, and some stone-ing (polishing) of the factory trigger. I find the stocks a bit "clubby" on the RSMs, but that's not the end of the world. In summation solid rifle, good value , just a little weak on some of the finer detai

Pat, That's a pretty fair description of most of their competition in the same price range. Perhaps the M70s have an edge in some areas but then I do love Rugers one piece bolt and great scope mounting system. In all as you described, nice solid rifles.
