Who is going where this year?

NZ is definitely going to be on my list in the not to distant years ahead! When I do go, I hope to make it at least a 3 week trip and a mix of hunting an touring. It is a place I'm sure I can get the wife interested in coming along to and maybe even some other family members. I would love to take in Australia and Tasmania as well but might need to make this multiple trips... Argentina is also high on the list, not sure which first.

However the more immediate desire is to hunt lion in Africa! That is on the top of my list but no finalized plans yet. I would love to take another buffalo and/or more PG on the same trip.... But not a "raised" buffalo.

Going to KMG with my dad end of May and first part of June. First timers in Africa. Plains game with high hopes. It appears Marius really delivers. Dad calls me every day with a countdown. He is more excited than me. I believe there is someone else in camp too. Maybe some one from AH? On a side note, how many folks are flying out of JFK on May 29th on SAA to JNB? Going to be a looooong flight. Maybe we can all catch up on the plane and brainstorm or just tell lies. Regards.

I'm with you - that's why we're going for 3 weeks. 2 weeks of touring and 1 week of hunting/fishing. Attached is our itinerary for reference. We used Kit Schultze at Esplanade travel for the arrangements - flights, car rental, hotels, etc. Very happy with her help. There was no way to see both islands without going at least three weeks. I'll post a report when we get back in May.

My girlfriend and I are going to New Zealand for 3 weeks in 2016 in the Marlborough area in the northern part of South Island.
It will be a mix of hunting, fishing and touring to see if we want to move to and live in that area.

My father and his wife have some friends with a large farm in Tasmania, so I might go there for some hunting in a few years too.
I also plan to go to Arnhem Land and hunt Water buffs with my bow in a few years.

My girlfriend, I and our 4 kids are also going to South Africa to do some hunting some years from now and will book with one or two outfitters on this forum.
Most likely this will happen in 2018 or 2019 and 2020 at the latest.

Maybe I will try the Vaal Rhebuck challenge with a bow too :)
I hope you will do well BRICKBURN !

In 2015 and the years in between the other hunts, I will focus on hunting Moose, Red deer, Fallow deer, Reindeer, Roe deer and Wild boars here in Norway and Sweden :)

you will be dissapionted hunting in Tasmania , mate.

bowhunting is illegal
two deer ayear . one stag one doe , fallow deer is the only deer in that country.
all other hun ting is cull and pest management , except for duck which is good hunting ,
trout fishing is excellent and ocean fishing is even better ,

I didn't know bowhunting is illegal there.
That was a huge let down....
I need to reconsider that one then.

Different sort of year. Off to the sun and Costa Rica for sails and marlin next week. Then linking up with an old friend in Saskatoon for geese and ducks in October.

Eastern Cape for a bunch of plains game, especially Nyala and Waterbuck.
Taking a first timer to Africa, that's always fun. He's been a friend for 25 years finally talked him into it ,and his wife also comes along with my wife June 13 - 27 . Airline tickets bought!

It will be a challenge for sure. As Hank noted and I hope you can go after one with a bow.

People here are certainly up for a challenge!

I have been thinking about that challenge for some months now and it is loosely in my plans for my next hunt in South Africa.
If I can get it all sorted with outfitters, my family and our other hunts in SA, I will for sure try it.
I hunt for the challenge and not to fill my house with trophies.

Brick,,, Hyena HUNT will be 2016 haven't settled any deal yet , have a few places to go have to decide.

Dennis,
You and I will miss one another on the flights. I'll wave out the window! Check Marius on that Hyena. I think he put up a whopper this year.

Good Morning x84958
I have read your post about Jamy Traut and your hunt in Caprivi. I am planning such a hunt for 2026, Oct with Jamy.
Just a question , because I will combine Caprivi and Panorama for PG, is the daily rate the same the week long, I mean the one for Caprivi or when in Panorama it will be a PG rate ?
thank you and congrats for your story.
Best regards
Philippe from France
