Which rifle do we crown as the best looking ever?

When I visited WR I mentioned the fact that their photography was excellent and I learnt that they have a prifessional photograoher that produces all their shots. If you have ever paged through the Explora you will see that they take this aspect seriously. What a pleasure!

Simon Clode was using a leica S series digital camera since it came out till his death . it was a 30kusd camera at the time average lens was 10kusd , we both liked cameras and would converse about them till his death which came too soon im pretty sure they continue with the same camera its digital medium format at 40 MP.

Kevin,

Could not agree with you more!! When we were there, the little area that they had set up upstairs looked very professional with varied backdrops, props and what looked like serious lighting fixtures on stands. The Factory is quite the place. We had a great time there. I just wish I could have visited next door. That would be a fascinating tour indeed.

Of all the British gun shops that is my favourite JP. I buy my clothes from there, Steven is very helpful, has all my sizes and sends out the package usually same day. Sounds extravagant, but it is the old buy once cry once principle, their quality is extreme.

Curious if anyone has seen an Essencia Rifle?
Damn you guys. Have me looking at rifles WAAAAAY above my pay grade.

It's tough knowing I currently have more than I NEED...but still wanting just a little bit more. Damn that's a beautiful rifle.

A member explained, I believe they're built by the following, with a Krieghoff name, perhaps?: https://www.ziegenhahn.de/en/production/rifles

I couldn't imagine the ever-loving cost of this. Their 28ga left an impression on me,

Good morning gentlemen,
very good topic (y) and we could see many great contenders.
However I must say I am a bit confused . Maybe I missed some post, but haven't noticed any rifle in mannlicher style/full stock ..... really no love here for the classic looks of full stocks? :D

Full stocked carbine = stutzen.

Though it has become common practice to refer to them as such, not all full stocked rifles / carbines are Mannlichers, and not all Mannlichers were full stocked.

I did notice, of course, that you referred to "Mannlicher style".

Mauser stutzen, pre WW2:

Kevin,

Mine too, and don’t feel bad my friend, I purchase quite a bit of clothing from them myself, as you said, extreme quality. I would also add that they are well thought out designs made with the finest materials available and made to last.
You are certainly correct when it comes to Steven, he is always a pleasure to deal with, a true gentleman, and all will be taken care of as needed and out the door promptly. I have also had custom leather items made and he is the one to talk to about one’s needs. Speaking of leather, I have found none better, truly bespoke quality and the folks in the leather department are great to work with. The Best Quality leather case that came with my new Rifle is truly a work of art. All fitted for Rifle, scope and accessories. None better in my opinion and I have had cases made from other major makers.

By the way, how much longer before you get that Heym 89B in 450/400 3”. Did you have it cased as well? Looking forward to seeing it.

Wow, that is gorgeous JP. I am having my case made by Natal Gun Company, it is a really high quality aluminium outer and Alan fits it out. I am just upting for the oil bottle, snap caps and a compartment for patches. This case will accommodate the Heym fully assembled and it will go on the hunting truck each day - no soft case problems.

If you live in North America, the most beautiful rifle is the one you grab on that cold winter morning for the deer hunt, the one that comes up quick, has just the right amount of drop & cast off so the eye lines up perfectly, for me it is a100 year old Mauser sporter in 8x57 .318 bore.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
