What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

@Bonk Your 100% right. I’m still active duty and price is definitely the deciding factor. That being said there are a lot more guys with nice watches these days.

I ware a Tudor and just with the people I work directly with there is another guy with a Tudor, and two guys with Omega Seamasters, one of them the 007 watch. This is a mix of NCOs and Officers.

I believe 3rd SFG just did a unit watch order from Tudor as well. These two brands have a huge following in the SOF community.

Very nice of you to offer this to your nephew. This is probably the most bomb-proof and still precise, automatic watch out there. I have the same but in dark blue.
I believe yours has the updated 8900 movement.

As promised. Fresh out of the box. I know the Air-King isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I really like it.

I know the changes from the older model were small, but I think they were done right! Making all the sub-quarter indices two digits brings balance to the face. Congrats!!

Very nice! I prefer this newer dial with its “05”, much more symmetrical!

At first glance the changes from the previous version are minimal but other than the dials being similar the new version is basically a completely different watch. Smaller and thinner case with crown lugs. 3230 movement (same as no date Sub). Addition of the ’05’, 3/6/9 indices are now lumed, the Mercedes hour hand is slightly longer and the dial itself is slightly larger (.8mm). Double latch Oyster bracelet with quick adjust.

I was okay with the previous version except for the case it shared with the Milgaus. It was unnecessarily bulky and I’m not afraid of big heavy watches. I have an Omega PO 43.5 diver I find quite comfortable to wear. The sleeker case and upgraded movement are what prompted me to buy the Air-King but the totality of the changes are substantial IMO.
