What else is in your trophy room?

An old black duck cork decoy my dad found on the Shenandoah River in Virginia back in the 50’s, various rocks and other nik-naks picked up around on my hunts. Most of my waterfowl mount stands were built by my dad so they mean a lot. An old table built in the early 1800’s that came out of my dads old home in Virginia.

I don’t have a trophy room, as much as, I just put them all over the house. I do have a personal man cave where I go to decompress, get away, reload and smith. I do keep a wall of tin type photos, brass, recovered bullets and arrows from hunts and fishing trips.

Art, mostly signed prints (Frace'), but a couple originals, cased antique fishing lures, spears from southern Sudan--one certifiably used in battle to kill an opponent, books (mostly africana), new and old fishing reels, a binocular collection, mounted insects from Africa, other knick-knacks and souvenirs, metal antique Coca Cola ice chest, a number of better carved wooden animals from Africa, and a fishing rod rack behind the door as I look around me. Gun safe, of course. Loading supplies, and maintenance stores, and massive wooden chest of antique wood working tools are in the shop outside.

The one on the pedestal is just over 42 and the one above the travel poster is right at 40.
 
I also have a trophy house, mounts mixed with african art and some of my wife´s paintings.

I'll take Trophy House for >$100K over a lifetime, Alex. Some among us have entire Trophy buildings a close jaunt from the house, and virtually unknown catacombs containing vintage libations!!! (I'm transitioning from the house to separate building as a move is on the horizon...) And, I'd like to feature some of the Great Khans in artwork, among newer Native American and African stuff below the animals.

Do you know the Williamson's from Hunt/Ingram? You have a lot in common, sporting-wise, militarily, and interior decor as well! Yours gets an additional star.

Bruce K. Lawes from eastern Ontario. My late wife won it in a Ducks Unlimited sealed bid auction many years ago. She never would tell me what she paid. It was my Christmas present. Local DU chapter puts nothing but crap up for auction now: fake heavy metal band gold records, hockey posters, etc. Blech! Can't remember when I last saw a print for bid that was wildlife. For years we thought a real feather was in the matte inset. Turns out it's actually a painted carving!
