You've had a good year.

I haven't pulled the trigger on an animal this year. But I did manage to spend time on a stand waiting for a White-tail Buck to run out of luck. But alas, it didn't happen.

Some years are easier than others!

At least you spent time outdoors, that's most of the fun of hunting.

You never know what next year's gonna bring...

You are SO right Roan. On all three statements.

Nothing this year, I have been buying too many gameworn professional hockey jerseys / sticks.

I hope to get on a blackbear or free range Axis hunt next year before my wife and I have kids. That's going to tie things down for at least a few years.

First hunt ever. It took all day and 12 KM of walking, crouching and belly crawling with my newest spotter before we managed to get our NT Antelope.

But this is the best trophy ever. On every stalk, of which there were four that day, he was vibrating. Literally.
Nothing better than that.

Had a similar experience last year with my nephew.

Good luck with the Ibex.

Beautiful animals, @Roan . The bushbuck I think is the most impressive of the lot, as is the broomed down old dugga boy. Well done!

@Roan you had a good year for sure. I have yet to get into the "deer woods" as folks in Arkansas say but that is coming soon enough.
On my safari this year with @Pawprint Safaris I had not only a great time but filled my list. I took the following

1 very nice Sable Bull
2 Zebra
2 porcupine
1 very nice Eland
1 Outstanding Bushbuck
1 Waterbuck
1 Giraffe

So nine animals in all.
Every time I look at one of my trophies I experience the hunt all over again. And I can't help my self but I dream of the next hunt.

@Environ

You were busy! Would love to hunt those Chinese water deer!

Congrats man

Both were super fun hunts.

@Roan , I like your scrum cap buff.

You didn't have a bad year yourself @CAustin!

The looking back is always great. Good friend places and hunts are what life's about.

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
