What Brass Are You Hunting For?

I’ll be picking up my new CZ .416 Rigby tomorrow from my LGS that I won at auction last weekend.
Picking everyone’s brains; which brand of .416 Rigby brass is preferred?
I have found Starline, Lapua, Hornady, and Bertram <sp>? available.
BTW, thanks Raven Rocks Precision on the great price on Starline 10mm brass.
I grabbed 2000 pieces, I should be good for awhile.

Thanks for the 10mm order. Not sure if you saw the 180gr TMJ projectiles we have in stock now... nice pairing and really inexpensive.

Starline doesn't make 416 Rigby brass. I'm pretty sure Lapua doesn't either.

We carry the Norma right now and it's in stock:

You're in luck. First of it should be here next month.

Norma is ready for you sir -- responded to your message

All of that will be here starting in August, 358 Norma Mag will be a little longer, but we also plan to restock it this year.

Any updates on this? Thank You!

Thank you!!!!! I'll be ordering some 416 Rigby soon. (y)

Thanks. We appreciate it. We're going to keep doing what we can to bring in more of these harder to find calibers to market.

We've also been in talks with North Fork regarding importing some of their bullets. Still expecting to bring in some Woodleigh in the months to come. If there are certain bullets you all would like to see for these larger calibers (besides the Woodleigh feedback we've gotten), that's always helpful too. Definitely need to be careful with what we bring in right now. 95%+ of the products that are selling are are the stuff we have exceptionally great deals on (i.e. handgun bullets, Sierra GameKing bullets deal, and/or things like the Norma 260 Rem Brass that's 50% off).

I really appreciate customer input and feedback -- your requests and recommendations have helped shape the product line that we currently have.

A few new opportunities have started to present themselves, and I'd like to solicit some feedback regarding what reloading components (specifically brass), you'd like to see in the future.

This is what we currently have on the way (all norma unless otherwise listed):

270 WSM - Available to buy now - starts shipping tomorrow
6.8 Western (ADG) - August
17 Rem - August
458 Lott - August
458 Win Mag - August
7.62x54R - August
9.3x62 - August
404 Jeffery - August
470 Nitro Express - August
7x57 - December
500 Nitro Express - January
I am hearing rumors that Norma is getting out of the reloading brass business. Since hearing that, I was able to obtain more Norma 375 H&H brass, but Norma 7x57 brass is proving difficult to find. My normal suppliers don't even list it for sale anymore, so it looks like they have dropped it.

With the loss of Huntington's and the apparent abandonment of the NA market by RWS, the only other quality source of 7x57 brass is also gone.

PRVI, a very distant third option, looks to be one of the few left standing.

I will be keeping an eye out for the December delivery of Norma 7x57 brass.

404 Hornady brass. Definitely NOT interested in RWS brass.

I just ordered 7x57 brass today from Brownells. They are the only ones I found to have any stock. of Course if I could find it head stamped 275 Rigby, that would be nice

That's a good lead! I keep forgetting that Brownells sells reloading components. It also dawned on me to look around for Norma loaded ammo. It's surprisingly reasonable in price.

We will have Norma 7x57 ammo in stock in a few days.

The norma 7x57 brass we ordered is a few months away.

Not sure where this rumor is coming from, but I wouldn't pay it much attention.

Norma 300 H&H, 7 SAUM, and 22-250 brass will all be available from us within the next week.

Can you get primed 300 H&H brass?

Not this time around. Hoping folks are able to find primers a little more easily right now..

How about 275 Rigby stamped brass?

If you get up some orders from Bertram, I could sure use .425 W.R. and 350 Rigby rimless mag Brass. They also make 435 bullets for the 425W.R., I'd buy some!

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
