As some of you have read here, I made a trip to KZN a month ago.

Everything was excellent and I am super happy with my trip and the Outfitter I went with. (Chris Troskie of CT-Safaris)

My only complaint is that I shot a very big Grey Duiker (5 1/2" +) and I made the stupid mistake of having him caped instead of life size skinned. Chris even questioned me on it and I made the call on my own.

What I am wondering is what are the chances of finding a Grey Duiker skin to accommodate a full mount? Is this something that can be accomplished?

I haven't contacted Chris yet as I know he is in the bush and likely has other things on his mind right now. I thought I'd try here first and see what you folks thought.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Daryl

Tough call. Ouch.

Sometimes trophies are abandoned at taxidermists. That is certainly one source.
You already know Chris is another.

Someone might do a custom collection for you. It is hunting season.

I just sent an email off to some resources that may be able to find one for you.

I'll let you know if I get anything.

The feelers are certainly out.

Daryl,
Let Chris give me a call. He has my number. I'm sure we can make a plan.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen
Thanks Marius. I may have something with Universal Trophies already. Rupert was very quick to respond. If not, I will surely take you up on your offer.
Thanks again,
Daryl

Let us know if you want the search stopped.

As of now there is "possibly" a full skin at Universal Trophy Services. Nothing is confirmed right now though.

lol I was going to suggest Rupert since things have not shipped yet. Im sure things will work out.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
