Gorgeous.
Beautiful! I hope to see it and hold it someday.
I have to admit @spike.t , I’m not completely sure which I’m more jealous of right now…that beautiful gun or the green grass in the pic. I’m really getting tired of winter this time around.
I’m usually fine with winter but for some reason this one’s dragging on for me.Actually had to go back and look at the photos to see whst you were on about.....its summer ...well on way towards autumn..winter now...and been cold for few days....but yeah summer equals rains here...not been great here this year though ..
Congratulations @spike.t with this wonderful rifle! Hopefully it will serve you well for many years to come!
Will you be scoping it? Or keep it iron's only?

We’ll chat again soon about that sable and eventually maybe I’ll get to hold on to that new beauty of yours.
Oh shit!Looking forward to that....sure you could possibly persuade me to let you shoot something with it ...

And anyone that books a hunt and uses a 7x57 or 275.....if they happen to accidentally forget something........then sure we can sort something....
Awesome purchase. This year I bought a Rigby 275 built in 1956. Love the history and caliber. How could you turn down a Mauser in this great caliber? You did very well!!! CongrTulations! After @sestoppelman put his thread on about M98 prices rocketing , and as I said in it that there was a 7x57 here in the gunshop I had been playing with every time I went in and over quite a period....I went in and discussed terms....as 7500 workable..but 12000 plus not...so apparently I have handed over enough up to now ...as I went in yesterday and the licence was put in front of me....so my last 4 years of bday presents to myself is....

That is a beautiful hunk of wood and a fine caliber. Way to go.Awesome rifle! Congrats!
That rifle is too good-looking to be named after @Bob Nelson 35Whelen lol.On top is the 35 Whelen that I have named "Bob."
I'll be in Johannesburg in less than 18 hours. You can shoot mine if I can shoot yours.
