Well boys, what's your temperature like now?

It rained real good yesterday, it was a good steady heavy rain for around 3 hours. The hills got a bit of snow. This morning I woke up to snow on the lawn and snow in the hills. The deer and elk hunters should be loving it until they try to come out of the hills. If they don't have chains and 4x4 they will have problems.

Sun is suppose to shine for the next few days with another set of storms to come in and soak us some more next week.

Snowing like a bitch here now. Usually happens on Halloween. Supposed to be 26F in the morning. Fall has arrived!

Wish we were having this weather in Tennessee. Our temps are 10+° above average. It sucks!! for hunting!! Great for fishing or just wanting to be out and about on the trails. Or at the range.

Ok, ok, I give, fall (or winter) is here. Some snow yesterday and 19 F this morning.

We just had a cold front come through…

Sunday the high will be a brisk and chilly 80 degrees….

:(

Anchorage, Alaska, today around 8:30 AM, the temperature is +29 Fnht (1.6 Celsius) and calm air, sparse snow is falling.

On this topic, am I the only AH member so demented that I cannot remember where everyone lives ?
Most times when members post “Here” it is so and so degrees, I have no clue as to where they are on the planet.
Obvious exceptions are those who’s screen name indicates a possible home base location.

Seems a shame that medical science can keep a body alive for many bonus years but has made little progress in keeping the brain alive.
And now, I forgot what I was talking about.:barefoot: :ROFLMAO:

Again, it's snowing heavy here in Colorado Springs. 5" and counting. I'm glad I don't have to work until Thursday night, but they've upped the future snow totals and we could get up to 22" through Friday. I'm scared. LOL

Yep, might cause the shoulder surgery currently scheduled for Thursday, to be rescheduled. Going to be filling a few fuel cans for the skid and generator tomorrow, just in case....

Personally,...I would rather hunt in your weather, than this damn spring/summer weather we are in..
My nephew in KY texted a photo of the massive 15 pt buck he was able to kill just before dark with a bow.

This Tennessee weather totally......Sucks!!!!. I need cool/cold weather. To properly hunt big game!...deer, bear, boar...upper 70's, low 80's highs and low 60's overnight, total sucks!!!

Rant over....for now, anyways.

Well, you'd have to be AT your hunting camp in the mountains here right now, because nobody is going anywhere for most of the next couple/three days. They've closed I-70 west into the mountains due to the snow. I hear what you're saying but at least you CAN hunt if you want to.

Unfortunately, during our eastern plains muzzleloader season, temps were hovering in the high 70s, low 80s. So I feel your pain. The monster that's living in the neighborhood, and his respectable cohorts, hung out in the shade where I could not pursue. Another tag soup season.

There's hunting and then There's hunting. I prefer to hunt, by getting out and stalking game; following game trails, speculating where/how game will travel. A trace or in minor <5" deep snow makes tracking relatively easier. But at my age and with physical difficulties such hunts are much harder, and such hunts are personally much more rewarding. Being in such solitude makes a successful hunt so much a self rewarding/gratification endeavor that goes beyond those that are not physical impaired can imagine.

We hit 90 degrees yesterday here in South Georgia. Felt like opening day of bow season. We are expected to get out first rain today and tomorrow since Helene on September 26th.

It's flat out gorgeous, the most beautiful morning I've seen in a long time. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
