Warthog Taxidermy Pictures

Somebody did a lot of work on this

Wow, yeah somebody put some time in here

Very cool. I recall seeing a trophy room photo from a European aristocrat. A lot of the skulls were decorated in some manner.

Someone is quite an artist. Forrest

Cool, love the wood plaque as well!

I recently picked up my warthog from my taxidermist because I decided to keep him as a Euro display instead of shoulder mounting it. I made a base for it using rebar and a piece of wood I had lying around. Proud of my wart hog. I think he was a lefty :)

Very nice. If I get a warthog this summer, I'm thinking about getting it bronzed like @Bhfs300 did:

Nice !

I like the rebar base - good job. Some don't seem to like the tusks bleached out like the skull but I think yours looks good.

They both look great and inovative, thanks for sharing

Looks very nice Archer

It is a great trophy and is displayed pretty nice too!

Super hog!! Lots of mass!

Rebar & cedar stain.... You wouldn't happen to be from TX would you?!?!? :Finger:

The base I made from Wenge wood from Africa mounts the skull so the front is higher than the back so it raises the tusks up higher to show them off. Here are a couple of pictures of the base. The skull sits down into the sides and there is just one screw going through the base of the raw.

My warthog from Namibia

Great warthog I brought the cape to the states but in the time it took decided I would rather have the bronze instead. To anyone reading this that caused me to have two crates and I had to have the cape re-insecticide and I didn't use it. It sat in customs for a week longer. Motel of the story don't bring the cape back unless you are sure you are going to have the warthog shoulder mounted.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
