Have to agree with Bjorn here. Hard to beat a skull mount for a Warthog. It just looks the way it should.

+1. Full Skull Mount is awesome.

I have the Warthog hide as well - a true Pigskin. On top of the pigskin I have a Javalina skull and a Texas Russian Boar sitting on it. All of it digging right under the Warthog on the wall. It makes for a good looking trophy set!

You can also consider using the warthog tusk as a knife handle. A friend of mine gave me an Arno Bernard Warthog knife - just fantastic!

Finished up my skull mount. Tore apart an old pallet, reassembled and cut out an outline of Africa. This rascal had some dental issues. We thought the upper left tusk was broken off but it was stunted and grew on the inside of his mouth

Jasper, did you fill the tusks with epoxy? Only asking because I clean a lot of skulls every year and filling the hollow teeth of warthog, bear , boar etc helps keep them from cracking down the center. BTW , that is a neat dental issue . Of the 2-300 skulls I've cleaned I've only seen that once on a hog. Nice job on the plaque. I'm a fan of the distressed wood look.

Melt candle wax into them also works.
