I didn't post the last group of photos but think I can help with some insights.

2nd photo. Kilimanjaro bull ivory. Photo taken in Zanzabar.

6th photo. Hemingway with leopard.

8th photo. John Boyes "King of the Kikuku" Good book about early days of Kenya if you are interested.

10th photo. Looks like Jack O'Connor with a kudu.

Thank you Wheels,

many of the famous men+ motifs are certainly known.
The world record tusks
Robert Ruark
James Sutherland
Denis Finch Hatton etc.
But there is still a lot slipping through.
I always find it a pity to put old photos without comment.

I am in the next days again to the monastery St.Ottilien, near Munich.
The Benedictines have already missionized Tanzania before the beginning of colonial times (tried).
I would like to copy old photos into the archives.
But monks are not simple people :-(

Tanzania Hunting License.Costs 10 Rupien.Issued 1905
There was a lot going on in that year.
Teddy Roosevelt wins the election again.
The Russian Revolution began and the Maji Maji uprising broke out in Tanzania with the Battle at Mahenge.

This is a confusing, interesting photo.
It shows prehistoric ivory (mammoth).
It's definitely positioned in front of a bush restaurant in USA- Alaska, or Canada.
Because the menu with moose steak points to regional cuisine.
I doubt this would have been available in Africa :)

I also wanted to say "WOW". For four tusked elephant!

I was reading John Taylors book, and he mentioned 4 tusked elephant, he wanted to hunt. But never had the opprotunity.
Then I went searching on internet about this phenomenon, and found basically - nothing.

I wonder who is the hunter with this trophy, where it was taken, and when?
