Trophy - The Film

The filmmakers are now in Denmark at a documentary film festival. It is a prestigious event and we wish them well.

Well Done Sir! So many of the tree lickers put out their crap on social media unchallenged. I applaud you for ability to demonstrate how complicated the issue is to the average person.

Thank you!

So I've finally spent a little time on Facebook reading comments on the Trophy site, and making a few of my own. ;)

It's pretty interesting and not at all one sided, either way. As you'd expect lots of people are misinformed and others are just plain hateful. But, you can see people in the middle as well and folks that defend hunting that perhaps aren't hunters.

Most of the antis of course come in with silly emotional arguments and no facts and are quickly corrected by hunters using actual facts. A very few are well organized and use "facts" and specific incidences to support their position, but of course they dont talk big picture as they know what the response will be. Don't anyone think for a second these folks are stupid. They aren't.

Now for my quick soapbox. IF YOU AREN'T ON FACEBOOK GET ON FACEBOOK NOW AND LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!!!!

Facebook is a tool, no different than a rifle, and we all must use it. To discount Facebook or any social media is giving a huge tactical advantage to the enemy. I don't care if Facebook itself is anti-hunting, or not. It's here to stay and gives us a voice. A voice that our enemies have used more effectively than us, to this point.

In fact, wouldn't everyone agree that CNN is anti-hunting? If so, and you take the position that you don't want to support anything they do then you'd better ignore Trophy since it is being supported by CNN Films. I think that would be silly personally, so why do the same with other media?

We aren't losing this war as badly as we think we are. The tone has changed. The general public is seeing through the manure. Its why Xanda didn't become the next Cecil. I've read that the number of hunters here in the states is actually on the rise for the first time in years. Let's keep that trend going.

Speak up in any manner that you can!

I've got a few friends that are non-hunters, but not anti-hunters. They see me hunting here at home and being able to utilize the meat myself (and share with others), and they don't mind it. But they can't seem to make the same connection with African animals. Especially the big ones like elephant, lion, giraffe and zebra.

I would love to sit down with them and watch this together. Well done for your part @Philip Glass!

I just watched the trailer......I'm looking forward to watching the full length version. Thank you, Philip Glass, for being brave enough to be the voice of trophy hunting, in todays society. The antis are getting more militant and most urban people are opposed to 'trophy' hunting. A thoughtful, intelligent approach to the debate is most welcome.

I just had a look on Instagram, I think Philip and trophythefilm could do with some more support from the hunting community.

Hey thanks so much!

For sure! I get hammered on there all the time by complete morons. One thing I've learned from this process is that antihunters can hardly put a sentence together without using profanity actually come to think of it they can hardly put a sentence together period!
Please follow and post on FB and Instagram @trophythefilm

I have also learned that anti-hunters are VERY concerned about the size of our penises. One told me I had a small penis and I told her that she would know, considering how many she has seen/tasted. Surprisingly, SHE was offended I could make such a crass comment.

Trophy will show in many locations September 26th only and advanced tickets are required. Please go to www.trophythefilm.com and check out if it's near you. I hope everyone will go see it on the big screen!
Regards,
Philip

Philip, you have been to the screenings for the Q&A so I know you have seen the film. In your opinion, is it overall pro hunting, anti-hunting or truly neutral?

Good to know @Philip Glass ! Unfortunately, there is not one close by, or close enough to make it on a weeknight. Hope to see it sometime though

Funny you ask. A lot of people are curious as well. I believe that hunting and sustainable utilization are shown in a very effective light in this film. The animal rights activists make very poor points for their side. It has many voices but that think we come out on top. Watch it and see what you think.

Unfortunately, no where near San Antonio or Austin. Hopefully, the Blu-ray/DVD comes out soon.

Some of the Anti's comments on Facebook are just unbelievable. Like the ones who are too stupid to listen that John Hume does not kill the Rhinos.

Good question, I have followed the movie on Instagram and feel it's neutral, BUT they do ask questions and make you think.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
