Hi All,
I want to provide a quick update for everyone that has trophy shipments ready to ship either now or in the near future.
I have been speaking with our export partners in the various African countries over the last several days. With the ban on travelers from many countries including the United States, it has made trophy shipments a little more complicated. Most of you know that most trophy shipments are going on passenger airlines such as Delta, El Al airlines, Qatar Airlines, etc. The problem that exporters (and US Customs Brokers) now have is that there is very limited space on the remaining flights leaving South Africa. Everyone's shipments will go eventually, but there may be some delays. It will be increasingly difficult to secure space on the 2 remaining airlines going in and out of South Africa, and therefore we expect costs for shipping to go up as well.
FOR ANYONE THAT HAS TROPHIES READY TO SHIP: Our Trophy Shippers team is fully operational. We can still clear at any US-FWS port of entry and deliver to your home, business, taxidermist, or tannery. Pick up is certainly an option as well. If the forwarders in South Africa get your shipment booked....we can help. The other side of our company (Edward J Zarach & Associates) is a US Customs Broker and Freight Forwarder. We import and export many different types of goods that keep our country going. We have been given an exception to any Shelter in Place order so that our operations may continue. Hunting trophy shipments may not be "essential" to some....but our doors are open! Please feel free to call or email me any time!
Until life gets back to normal....I think this time is best used for planning hunts!
