Perfect thanks a lot Brickburn! Now I have to play the waiting game until I get to South Africa in 32 Days!

My trophies were released from the airport today, I had 12 animals in there, including several CITES animals, primates, pigs, lion claws, several skulls, and had zero issues, and not even a single question or concern.
However...I always have all my animals 100% mounted up, boiled out, and tanned in SA. I am sure that this makes a big difference, and makes the import process much smoother than bringing in raw trophies of any type.
My taxidermist there in the Limpopo, does a fantastic job, having done 35 animal mounts for me now, and is in fact going to be my PH on my next trip in May, after my one week with Pieter at Paw Print.
First thing in the morning tomorrow, Canadian Freightways will pick up my crate, and I should have them here in B.C. on Thursday morning...YES!!

@BRICKBURN,
I’m trying to navigate the importation of a red stag and roe deer euro mount trophy from Europe.
Are you aware of any (positive) changes since this thread was posted 12 years ago.
Can you point me in the right direction to start researching the current requirements?
Thanks.
Some of the approved facilities for disinfection.

Most important is. What Port of Entry are you using? Some eastern ports are rouge, Vancouver is excellent. Are you hiring an importer, or doing yourself? The Canadian Gov has all rules, regs and requirements listed on the CFIA website. As @BRICKBURN states, first question you need to answer is what state are your trophies in? Finished pieces are considered "art" and have far easier regs, all requirements for dried hides hair on/hair off, bone/skulls are listed on CFIA Gov site. For some you may need a password for access.
Under all circumstances you or your taxidermist company in ship country want to do everything correct and skip the Canadian disinfection process.
I suggest finding the other thread and doing some reading. You can contact me and I will assist as much as possible. I only know Canadian info though.

They will be sent to Toronto, Pearson YYZ.
I wonder if having it already bolted to a plaque would it make it art or finished taxidermy?
I have to respectfully disagree with you here. All my trophies have been imported through Toronto and cleared successfully (by professionals not me). IMO not worth the hassle, headache, or more importantly risk of mistake and losing a valued trophy. Not sure I never looked up the rules for art as I always D&P. Entry from Europe is also different, the countries are listed on the site with rules for each. I think they are more relaxed??
Being antlers and attached will make big crates? Also Toronto is known to be the worst port of entry. Blatant disregard for regs and rules is most often quoted there. Maybe worth it to place them on a "plaque" and possibly qualify as finished product, art?
I would do some research or just pay Advanced to import.
Post how it goes. Inquiring minds like to know.
