HELP PLEASE

I've reached out to a couple African Exporters who are having trouble finding an Air Line that will accept CITES Spieces from Joburg ...

One advised me that he tried Turkish as they do ship trophies , but not CITES ... He also reached out to Lufthansa with no luck ...

Anyone recently import a leopard into Canada & if so, how did you manage ??

AIR OR SEA CARGO

I thought the govt just banned import of elephant and cat items from Africa? Seems it's okay to hunt mountain lions here but no cats from Africa. Hmmm.

Edit: No change to cat imports. Just ivory and rhino horn imports banned as of January.

I shipped two Appendix 2 skulls to Toronto in 2022 via Turkish Airlines. Which African freight shippers have you reached out to?

Yes, I wished I shipped it as a rug when I shot it in 2022

All I know , things have changed & they seem to not like Cites I animals ...

Ugh

CANADA HAS NOT BANNED IMPORTS OF CITES TROPHIES.
https://www.canada.ca/en/environmen...dangered-species-international-traveller.html

Importation issues are for Elephant and Rhino. (Bryan Adams said it would save Africa)

Turkish Airways flies into YYZ, YVR, YUL.

The political BS from all the airlines jumping on the big five band wagon appears to be your issue now.

Their website is not particularly clear as this was under "live animals". But it appears they are not liking CITE I.

I hoped I could find better news. I would contact them to see if the website is correct.

Hello, there's a Canadian company that handles big-game imports. Send me a pm and would be happy to share (don't want to break the sponser rules)!!

You’re not breaking sponsor rules by mentioning a company that can help a member unless you own or work for the company.

This is not true and you can even ask the person who started the thread. Also is this how you welcome new members to the forum trying to participate?

On a side note and just a suggestion, do your homework before posting assumptions. You can cause confusion to other members who aren't well versed with imports and some may not see your "edit".

Apologies if I read your profile incorrectly. Sorry about that.

@hyt542 - I think All new members are subject to some scrutiny - it’s never personal and it’s not limited to You. It’s appropriate And helpful

Special thanks to Hunter Graham, as I have turned over the importing of my trophies to Tracy @ Rigel Importers and we finally got confirmation today from Francois @ African Trophy Exports in acquiring their CITES export permits ... Tracy has already confirmed passage of my crate to arrive at the port of Vancouver ... I hope to keep rolling , as I only shot these trophies 25 months ago

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
