Tire kicking for a Ruger #1

I love the No.1 rifles, have a .257 Roberts, a 9.3x74 and a .35 Whelen which happily has a nice thick Decelerator on my end of it.
I dont care to shoot one in any of the heavier calibers, have done so and its not fun, from the bench anyway, the .450-400 was brutal.
I once had the .303 Brit and it was a fine shooter, but sadly it went down the road. Instead I now have the Courteney in .303 and it seems to be a good shooter.

I know @sestoppelman has a No1 in 35 Whelen. Problem is I'm still trying to convince him to load it with 250 grainers and a good dose of CFE223 to get 2,700fps but he's not ready yet.
I think he's waiting for me to blow mine up and say whoops, I think I over did that. But it's a safe load.

I'm a terrible hunter, not very stealthy at all. The #1 seems well suited for running shots at 40 to 100 yards. Also I have no trouble running over hill and dale with the either tropical model. They work just fine although they are a bit loud according to some.
