Thank you for all of your skepticism by most and some encouragement by few. I know there are scammers and blowhards out there as are many of you are on this site. Sold last night $8650. Not including brass or dies. Will never post again on this site as most responses were insulting and you should all be ashamed to let this behavior continue. @rookhawk now lives in Wisconsin. One of you guys could see about him helping you contact and confirm info on the seller. Although I don't believe he considers RSMs high end rifles.

If the seller is local, I'm always willing to go have a look. Best way to resolve a high-dollar sale with a stranger is A.) Establish their claim that they are a well regarded member of their community, B.) Have the local lawyer agree to ship the gun when they get the cashiers check for a modest $50 fee.

A local town lawyer will typically look after their local friends, but they are also then taking on the liability of presiding over a fraud, which they won't do for scum sellers.

Alternative to that with slightly more risk, have a local person lay hands on the guns to establish they are real, pay the seller, have them ship the guns to your FFL on your own shipping account. Odds are pretty slim someone actually has nice guns for sale, but they want to defraud a buyer rather than consummate a transaction.
