The One Piece of Gear You Didn’t Know You’d Need in Africa

On both of my hunts in South Africa I pretty much treated them just as I would of a hunt here in the US where the destination was a long drive away.

In reality I had everything that I actually needed and on my first trip I was way over packed with things that I thought that I would need. But everything that was disposable that I took over I left with the outfitter, most of which included some duct tape, and upset stomach pills.

its nice to take a little 30 second break to get all of the grime and filth off of you before getting back into the bakkie after spending the previous hour inhaling red dust and getting covered in sweat while wandering through the bush

@mdwest dave didn't take you for a girls blouse..... :P Gorgeous:..

Chapstick and really wished I would have brought some sort of lotion for dry skin. 5 or 6 days in with low humidity and my skin was drier and rougher than it has ever been.

Gold bond powder for the hot months and spf chapstick. Also a small battery operated fan for tree Sept-Nov safaris

Medical sticking plasters, the antiseptic impregnated sort. Prevents minor wounds from becoming infected and creating issues. Put a few in your day kit.
A pair of long shoe laces, to tie things, form a hat hold down or even replace a broken boot lace.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
