So, F.Vaccaro was sitting at the bar telling jokes and he says, "I have a friend named Bob and last time they X-Rayed his head......." .Haaaaah, mind if I use that Bob?
And they found a sign saying "Vacancy $0.25 or $0.35 to Let"?So, F.Vaccaro was sitting at the bar telling jokes and he says, "I have a friend named Bob and last time they X-Rayed his head......." .

Mate doesn't worry me.
I know a bloke that I just call drill bit. He's a slow boring tool.
Nice bloke tho.

Never fired a shot though my brand new shop soiled .25-06 it was delivered direct to the gunsmith to be re-barreled to .280a.i.Its about time we started a discussion about 25 cals 25/20, 25/35, 303/25, 250 savage,
25/308 257 Roberts 25/06 & 257 Weatherby. May be i left some out, Bob will know! we have done this 243 thing to death. my vote is for the 257 Roberts what do you all think? & why the 25 souper the 308 /25 never got off the ground i think it could be a good cartridge.
Yeah, you missed Bob’s prototype .25 wildcat, the .25/7.7 Jap. Aka the .25RSE (Rising Sun Express) on a Arisaka 99 action.Its about time we started a discussion about 25 cals 25/20, 25/35, 303/25, 250 savage,

Head shot? LOLWell @Bob Nelson 35Whelen I don’t know about Australian game but yesterday my 80 year old father used his NEF single-shot .243 to kill a large bodied mule deer buck. Now hopefully I can do the same on a decent whitetail with mine.
Of course not! Boiler room bro!!!Head shot? LOL
@rdod
You forgot the 25-44 Sharps

MY daughter use to shoot a custom Sako 250 savage i had built from a 22/250 by Bill Marden with a 22 inch stainless Douglas 1-10 twist bbl, a hunting friend made an offer to good to refuse to buy it & like a fool sold it, at the time the 260 REM had come out, i had to have one as i was a great fan of the 6.5x55 i purchased a Ruger 77 mk11 my daughter still claims that rifle as hers, the 260 Rem is a nice mild to shoot rifle with 140 grain REM corlokts it is murder on pigs, i can see why the 6.5 CM has such a following, to bad its hype & bull shit is so strong, i do have a Browning A bolt 6.5 CM its a better case design than the 260 Rem.Never fired a shot though my brand new shop soiled .25-06 it was delivered direct to the gunsmith to be re-barreled to .280a.i.
I did have some shots out of a.257Roberts at a mates property. The owner told me where to hold to ring the 400yard gong, I was pretty happy with that.
The .25-308 super probably never took off because the 7mm-08 does just fine.
I know Bob is infatuated with the .25's but I have a slight interest in trying a .260rem for something different.
Worked with a bloke called Aspro, a slow working dope.
Let's here some .25 stories then,

@SteveNZI'm the proud owner of a Tikka M55 re-barreled to 25 Souper (25-08).
Think of it as a modern 257 Roberts, compared to the modern 6mm Rem (243).
works well with AR2209 (H4350) and 100-117 gn bullets.
I like it so much that I sold my 25-06 (and went to a 7x57 Mauser, but that's another story)!
May be i will have to build one i loved the 250 savage but the 25/308 makes more sense.I'm the proud owner of a Tikka M55 re-barreled to 25 Souper (25-08).

RCBS makes dies for it (need to alter as much 243 brass as possible), and it fits in the Tikka M55 short action that I had - otherwise i might have ended up with a 257 Roberts..@rdog
The Savage or Roberts would be better. No stuffing around with custom dies and reamers.
If you are going down that road why not a270-308.
