Taxidermy Lion

Quick story, knew a pilot who owned a Czech L39 Albatross jet, ex carrier jock, punched out twice, discharged with back problems, had a call sign painted on his plane (lieutenant such and such too) , did airshows, light aerobatics, big shot at the local airport, big wheel for a major corporation, yada yada, went to airshows at military bases, real hotshot for YEARS, UNTIL someone started digging and found out he was 100% phony, never even served. Caveat Emptor.

But I’m sorry I do apologize. Clearly the “hunters” here have no problem with farm raised lions being “Hunted in Pens and then sold off to the highest bidder. I saved my whole life to hunt a lion. Then when it was finally within reach. The Lion farming scandal (and Cecil) killed that dream. And BS like this thread will insure average hunters like me will never get the chance to hunt a free range lion the way it should be done like Roosevelt & Hemingway. So when Non-hunters are welcomed with here open arms looking to buy their lion.. I did come to the wrong place and for that I do apologize!

There are plenty of hunters on AH that disagree with CBL and yet others who have participated fully. If I read one more debate on high fence, low fence, free range, penned hunting my computer screen may explode.

The USFWS killed your dream of bringing a Lion home to the USA. You can most certainly go hunt one, nothing is stopping you.

When you do eventually fulfill your dream of hunting a wild Lion I would love to read the tale of the hunt right here. When you pass on and your family no longer wants the damned ratty thing hanging around their house, they can come on here and try to sell it to someone who wants it to decorate their home. Your family can then use the funds to go have a drink to your memory and the memory of the Lion.

I am ready to take on all comers in terms of defending captive raised lion hunting. Bring 'em on!

@gizmo, you can do what you want. To each their own. It's still a free country, I think. But I, for one, won't be intimidated by a moderator, no matter how esteemed or how tall.

Go for it guys. I'll sit back and check in every third or fourth page.

I was told by my PH and others can dispute or verify this, but he said captive bred lions are more dangerous than the wild version.

Hehehehehe

Wonder if that shows up in the taxidermy?

I just washed my hands a few minutes ago before getting some ice for a dram of 15 year Talisker. I refuse to touch this topic.

So as to not derail the thread it is the tiger skin on the floor.
Dammit K-man, I thought it was the miniature bull elephant on the fireplace. I've been looking for an outfitter to get me one but they keep insisting I shoot the big ones that I don't have room for! Lol

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
