@Fred Gunner , I can't believe your arrogance, I only read the first few posts, and couldn't believe the #@&* you spoke.
Mohammad, I hope you stay around and are an active poster. It would be interesting to have you share your experiences with us. Please excuse my ignorance on the subject but are you able to hunt in Jordan? I have been very blessed to have been able to have traveled to many places to hunt and fish but have never been to your part of the world though I do find some of the limited information I have found on hunting cultures over there very fascinating. Unfortunately like I said information on ya'lls hunting culture is very limited over here.Hehehehehe
Sir hunters ... I've got many connections and may ship the lion next week and guess what ... also I can wait until they mounted the lion the way I like

+1Make sure you post pictures here after you receive it. We'd love to see both the lion and the rest of the room.
So as to not derail the thread it is the tiger skin on the floor.
But I’m sorry I do apologize. Clearly the “hunters” here have no problem with farm raised lions being “Hunted in Pens and then sold off to the highest bidder. I saved my whole life to hunt a lion. Then when it was finally within reach. The Lion farming scandal (and Cecil) killed that dream. And BS like this thread will insure average hunters like me will never get the chance to hunt a free range lion the way it should be done like Roosevelt & Hemingway. So when Non-hunters are welcomed with here open arms looking to buy their lion.. I did come to the wrong place and for that I do apologize!

Ohh..... NOW I get it!!!
You're mad you can't IMPORT a lion and the OP can. Either that or you truly don't have a clue. You can still HUNT lions. In fact, lion HUNTING is cheaper than it was when your personal dreams were "killed." The IMPORT ban made lion HUNTING less expensive, not more (supply and demand). If you truly care about the hunt, go, especially since you have the money saved, or are close. Don't make lame excuses, go.
I also hate to break this to you - Roosevelt and Hemingway weren't "average hunters" like you. They were wealthy hunters. Average foreign hunters didn't go hunt wild lions back in the day either. There were certainly more lions, for other reasons, but give me a break that the legal importation of taxidermy has had anything to do with it.
We agree here. Apology accepted.
That's probably exactly what I will do when I hunt an elephant. I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to hunt an importable one so I will go on a tuskless and film it.What Royal said!!
Go hunt your lion and pay for a professional video of the entire hunt instead of spending $$ on taxidermy. The pics and video will last longer than taxidermy anyway and you will have a full account of the hunt instead of just a trophy.
I think you hit the nail on the head!I'm pretty sure that if it was Mark from Delaware, this thread would not have been derailed....
But the this is pointless since the ban on importing Lion trophies will never be lifted as long as trafficking of lion trophies to countries like Jordan is allowed to continue.
Hehehehehe
