Ditto as to all the aforementioned..... Dip/Pack get to USA Taxidermist. A USDA certified, that knows African Game. Not your run of the mill Whitetail Deer or Duck Taxidermist. One that knows the ins/outs/shipping/logistics/customs/forms/etc.

I have done it both ways. Splitting Image Taxidermy in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, RSA has done my taxidermy for the last 12 African safaris. Their studio in Port E is extremely impressive. Take a look at their website and look at the price list. I think that you will find their work and prices to be better than most US shops. If you prefer they also have a production studio in Houston. My experience has been that the cost is less even including shipping. You also get your trophies delivered to your door in 6-9 months instead of a year.
