Talk Me Out Of A Sako 85 450 Rigby!!!

Get it yet ? Very handsome rifle with properly chosen coloration of the stock lams. Ruger lost a sale (to me) 4 years ago when I was looking for a .375 caliber , just couldn't take the color of their lams. Gray and black looks good as well but your choice is the best combo I've seen. 22" (?) barrel should be sweet as well for a DG rifle.
After the last several months of viewing rifles on this sight I feel as though I'm getting comfy seeing your familiar kitchen cabinets !

Toby no one d trying to talk you out of the beautiful Sako!
Now be reasonable and acquire. Then, we expect numerous posts on your exploits!

Yes, I love the color of the stock as well. Kind of the best of both worlds. Nice looking, yet tough as nails. My kitchen has definitely seen it's share of rifles! Unfortunately....so has my bank account! Lol!

You just bought a 416 Ruger!

Dude you're worse than me. We'd make horrible expensive drinking buddies
I know that's right! I'm about to have a load of trophies coming in from SA, and looking at booking another hunt this year,so I may have to just let this one go for now. But, ya never know what a night of beer and "buy it now buttons" could do!

To me a lighter weight rifle just comes to the shoulder so much quicker than a heavy rifle.
Toby, in defense of a 9.3 x62 you may have your answer right there. They tend to be a good pound or two lighter than a 375H&H.
Which is why I have several of both , hint hint.

Look out!!!

You can add weight to it easily if you want...

Well...it’s a Sako, that’s a turn off. Laminate stock, while better than plastic it’s not classic. Obscure cartridge doesn’t help, but should be cheap to reload with many options in .45. Lastly it’s right handed, won’t be as accurate as a lefty. :D Cheers:

Talk you outta buying a big bore, boy did you ask that question to the wrong group of gentleman:ROFLMAO:

Just buy it and go shoot something and then come back and let us know who it performed.

Clearly you are going to have to get it. AH approved!

Ok. Here's the deal. If someone buys my Kimber Adirondack 300 Blackout and Ruger Bisley 45LC that I have in the classified section of this forum, I'll place my order! Now it's all up to YOU to make this happen!!! :sneaky:

I figured anyone who doesn't like Sako MUST be left handed!

Well.....I booked the hunt for 2019, so it looks like new rifles are out the window for awhile! Lion,Cape Buffalo and Eland will most likely eat up all my gun budget!

Congratulations and you are forgiven for wasting hours of our time keeping up with this thread! :D Cheers:

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

Hello. If you haven't already sold this rifle then I will purchase. Please advise. Thank you.

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
