Speed too slow, help!

Jack used 62 grains of H-4831 in a Winchester case with the 130gr. Nobler partition. He said 60 gr. Was the max. with the Remington case.

58 to 60 gns of surplus 4831 was considered to be a good zone with 130 gn bullets.
i used a lot of it at 59 gns, giving around 3050 in a brno 600 24"barrel, and just over 3000 in a 22" rem 700.
it was in fact the go to powder for 130 & 150 gn 270 bullets.
modern h4832 (ar2213sc) is equivalent.

I took the chronographer out the other day and here are the results:
.270 Win
Win Large Rifle Primer
58gr H4831
140gr TSX TB
COAL 3.245
22" barrel on a Model 700
2900 fps
No pressure signs and sub 1 MOA! Fast enough too (IMO). Faster than I thought I would get with that barrel and still 2gr below the max recommended by Barnes. Mission accomplished.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
