Not good photos, hot wind blowing from the north, estimated temperature today is 44*C(111.2 *F) but will probably get hotter
First is a king brand, circa 1975, present from my now deceased brother in law, one of the few knives that I used all the time and that my shit for brains father didn’t throw away.
Second is my Ted Mitchell knife, first time I used on a goat I cut myself (insert facepalm here)
Third is a boker style knife I made several years ago and has accounted for several goats and deer
The knives aren’t dirty, it’s the preservative oil that I didn’t clean off
These three, along with a Buck110, and a couple of muela knives get used regularly

I don't like the cold that we are getting lately in the Northeaster United States -23 Celsius a few nights and a high of around -10 Celsius. But I think I'll take it over 44 celsius!

Ted does beautiful knives I have one and got one made for my son. Both are that sharp they cut your eyeballs just looking at them.
The bottom one looks like the Canadian belt knife circa 1958. A beautiful simple knife you can use all day.

You explained its use for finishing an animal. As Grumpy Gumpy said we call that a Sticking knife in Australia. Some people hunt pigs with dogs and finish them off with a double sided blade. Many of those knives are cheap production knives. The knife pictured looks like a nice custom made one.

If you have a skinning knife we would like to see it.

Hello, I will take a photo of the slaughtering knife as soon as I can. The knife in the photo is a normal production knife. They are made by a factory called Muela. This model, as you can see in the picture, is the Podenquero, which refers to the people who beat the ground to raise and take to the posts the animals that are shot by the shooters.

This is my skinning knife, it is also made by Muela and the model is Sabueso, unfortunately both this and the Podenquero are unused. The fact is that I have not been lucky enough to shoot the few big game hunts I have attended. Therefore I have not needed to finish or skin any game. I hope you like it. I translated it with Google. I also have a pocket knife that I put on my belt when I remember and take with me when I hunt rabbits. I usually use it to gut any rabbits I manage to kill. I usually give away small game and people want them almost cooked. If it doesn't bother people I'll also share some photos of the knife.

I needed a project right now to work on and saw this little blade in Texas Knifemaker's Supply as a kit for a muzzleloaders patch knife and saw potential. So I reshaped it into a whittler/caping knife and away I went. The blade is only 2 3/8", perfect for fine work.

Final product has a handle of warthog ivory, brass and vulcanized fiber spacers and copal resin bead up front. Made a simple slip wallet sheath to keep it protected. It's very handy and will be in my pack from here on out.
