Edward, Zimbabwe doesn't have a problem with it. Ivory can be exported to probably every country, no problem. The USA will not let you import ivory from Zimbabwe. I believe all other countries will allow the importation of ivory from Zimbabwe as long as the paperwork is in order.

Ivory can probably even be imported to China and Vietnam with out any paperwork.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few people in RSA and other countries aren't holding some ivory for their American friends, who are hoping there will be some rule changes with a new administration.

You figure a guy from China could make money on an elephant hunt like this. Get the ivory back to China.....

Not a problem at all, as we just do the dip and pack and send it to a taxidermist in SA, and it can be kept there till F&WL get a brain.

You need to go grab that 470 out of the gun case and tell it get ready to draw blood. Those will be tears of joy (or Hoppe's 9) it will be shedding. You will make it the happiest, proudest, coolest gun in the safe.

Then at DSC, I will buy you a meal as you tell me all about it.

Your dear wife will also be happy with you, cause with all the money you will be saving on an importable to the USA elephant, you will buy her that nice little beach house in Belize to put your ivory.

Sounds like an all-around "Win - Win" situation to me.

I like the way you think buddy! At least until you mentioned the wife and a beach house in Belize.... You know, once I'm able to retire, these kind of deals will help me Not leave anything for the kids or "Uncle Sam".
