Report Scam in AH Classifieds

I add this to WTB ads and have yet to get a scammer reply.

"Please no "my buddy has one, here's his email" offers. Will call about details".

BEWARE AH member mariosmt is a scumbag attempted scammer. His email is tabariwilson20@gmail.com. I just got this PM .. "hello buddy, reach out to the seller on his via email for faster response he is a great seller" I obviously didn't respond and admin caught it in my PM.. thank you admin. To all would be egg sucking thieving POS scammers: At least learn how to use proper English if you are going to try trick people into letting you steal their money, and also... go eff off.

Thanks for the heads up!

Slight veer, if it’s OK…. Sold some extra stuff on eBay (yeah, I know…). Hadn’t listed anything in years, so I was surprised at this new tactic. Legit bidders will send you constant messages talking about “getting my young son into shooting, recovering from an illness, just lost my dad,” and on and on. Then after being so friendly, nice, and engaging, the really lowball offers start, even if you’re not accepting offers on an item. After all, he’s your new online friend. One guy even told me that he’d be watching for my reply between fire runs, as he “loves serving my community.” It’s every bit as abusive as other scammers, but apparently it works.

$1.02 TRILLION lost to internet scammers in 2024. Hey, it's a very profitable business model with an unlimited amount of gullible people with ZERO common sense.

My credit card was hacked about 10 days ago, and when I spoke to the bank and asked if they were trying to find out who did it. Their response was no, it cost too much to go after them. No wonder these delinquents continue to do this stuff without punishments for their actions. :mad::mad:

I got one of those. Mods quickly kicked them to the curb. These guys do a great job.

@MD Driver
Just lost my dad, well go find him
Getting my young son into shooting, well Walmart has some really good guns in sale cheap at the moment.
Recovering from illness, that's good get well soon.
We get a lot of phone scammers. When I answer I just say I will go and get dad to talk to you. Then leave them for ten minutes and then hang up.
Scammers are low life's that I love having fun with. Really pisses them off. I've had them threaten to come and kill me but when you say I will be waiting with my shotgun for you they get even angrier. Laughing at them gets them even angrier. It's a great way to spend five minutes pissing them off.

Just got a direct message responding to my question if something is still available from an account that was created today (YoJek33) . They told me to reach out via email…same one as above “tabariwilson20@gmail.com”. Can someone ban that account?
Thank you @HunterX for reporting this account. @yojek33 has been banned.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
