That is a great caliber that unfortunately didn't receive the needed press from gunwriters.

Maybe if Remington had called it a 325 Super Magnum and paid for writer's hunting trips to shoot an elk at 700 yds, it would have sold well.

Par for the course for Remington's marketing team, unfortunately. I'm surprised they didn't rename it to 325 Super Magnum, then name it back to 8mm Rem Mag, then on to 8mm Express when the 6 months of that marketing scheme didn't pan out.

Boddington wrote some very interesting articles on Rifle Shooter and Guns&Ammo a couple decades ago, claiming it his favourite caliber for Elk - also he shot a great Marco Polo with it, along many other game.
Fantastic caliber that deserves more popularity and respect.
