Punishments for infractions on Africa Hunting

Keep in mind that genetics can have far more of an influence than environment. The US and Canada could both be innocent.
There is a new thread about "an interesting find in the field" that I would like to enter as evidence to support this statement but I am at a loss as to the appropriate punishment.

Well... seeing the subject of the thread, one could get creative with its use perhaps? In a punitive, angry, non-lubricated manner? :D :D

How about a 10 day hint with the Ontario Hunter himself. Plan on expenses as he is CHEAP and tight as bark
A 2x1 hunt with a shared room at his famous lodge? I don’t think many of us would have the mental strength to last that!

Offense- Posting pictures of dick shapes rocks and trying to explain it.

Punishment- Stoning, he’s a geology fan apparently.

#5.) The cry-babies on the Politics thread that can't take constructive contention. They start getting personal and making ad hominem attacks because they don't like other's opinions. Punishment: They swim for an hour in a pool with a rabies infested piranha.
What's the punishment for pointing out that rabies is a mammalian disease?

You mean reptiles such as cross can get rabies?

Well that settles it. Now I know where my can of shaving cream went. Bet that is the only croc with mint breath in the river.

Posts that are easily searchable - "What type of boots should I get?" etc - On your next safari you will be forced to shoot an Ostrich - get a full body mount of it - and put it in your bathroom.

Extra points for the movie reference!

Every time I see people talking about "Jeffries" on this forum, this is what I think of their gun and their spelling:

More misspelled Jeffery reactions include this dancing through my head:

"My AH Account has been hacked!"

Punishment: Computer classes on every weekend of the hunting season in North Korea for two years. Second thought, having to work in a SPAM factory in the Myanmar jungle in the summer.

Teaching them that "Password" or "1234" used as a password is/are NOT secure!

Here's my list of AH pet-peeves and recommended punishments. Feel free to add or adjust to them as you see fit.

#1.) Anytime a member says "boy, I'd buy that in a minute if it were left handed" we should A.) tar and feather them, and B.) Force them to buy the next left handed gun on the forum. You know, the ones that never ever sell?

#2.) The contorted advice logic. I get these PMs: "Hey, can you help me please!? For free!? I'm looking at this <insert glorious best gun/rifle> and I want to make sure its excellent. My reply is often "yes, its excellent". Their reply is "well I don't know now, I think I'm going to hold out for <insert steaming pile of crap make/model instead>". Recommended punishment: They should be banned from owning <insert glorious best gun/rifle> for a period of ten years.

#3.) The "Don't pay it forward free" guy. After the third "I'll take it" without posting equal quality stuff, we drive over to their house and grab some stuff to post "free".

#4.) The "I bought crap and now I'm selling it to my friends" guy. People ask me: is this shotgun safe to operate with its .017" minimum wall thickness barrels, 3" chambers that should read 2.5", that has extensive pitting?". My reply: "Absolutely not, I told you not to buy it. Or I warned you it was too good to be true, but you bought it anyway". Instead of the person destroying the gun, they are trying to sell a deadly dangerous item off with undisclosed issues on their fellow man. Punishment recommended: Their user avatar on this site needs to say "I suck, I'm a bad human" for a period of 12 months.

#5.) The cry-babies on the Politics thread that can't take constructive contention. They start getting personal and making ad hominem attacks because they don't like other's opinions. Punishment: They swim for an hour in a pool with a rabies infested piranha.
I like it, but I don't think piranhas carry rabies. Of course, if you're in the pool with them for an hour it's probably a moot point.

On the topic of misspelled names. Bruno instead of Brno.

You get to hunt Africa dressed like this and post a picture of it here.

I am guilty of password redundancy
But Myanmar spam is Buddhist monk Solent Green ( yuck) but maybe it’s good fried ?
And Carrying a NYC phone book size password organizer is punishment enough ;)

Good Morning x84958
I have read your post about Jamy Traut and your hunt in Caprivi. I am planning such a hunt for 2026, Oct with Jamy.
Just a question , because I will combine Caprivi and Panorama for PG, is the daily rate the same the week long, I mean the one for Caprivi or when in Panorama it will be a PG rate ?
thank you and congrats for your story.
Best regards
Philippe from France

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
