Problem with ruger M77 RLS in 270

I considered a rail for my M77 Hawkeye African but didn’t want the extra scope height the rail would add. The Warne QDs have been great so far on this .375.

Thanks to above people for the information...I tried to put like on each post...but gave up waiting for it to load....the sat fkn WiFi is in snail mode....so will see how long this takes to load....

Does the extractor claw rotate about the bolt head? Just a WAG, move it opposite or off center of the ejector button and try inserting the bolt.
spin it 90 degrees, 4x checking it at each turn for functionality. those damn ruger springs...

when things like this happen, what we need is an old Ruger factory gunsmith to appear and/or a private custom gunsmith to appear and they'll pinpoint the issue straight away! the wrong-sided bolt is just a joke (it should be Right hand of course!) lol LH bolt manufactured by a right-handed, redheaded stepchild is never any good! LOL

Well bit of an update...its still marking the base of the cases, but really hardly at all compared to at the beginning of this thread....and as at end of burning I shoot couple animals for meat for staff who endured it with me....so here is the result :A Thumbs Up:

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
